I have a 2000 pontiac granprix 3800 series 2 supercharged and i ran it without the supercharger hooked up and then about 2 months latter it started tapping some where in the motor it only has 76,000 miles on it do you have any ideas what it could be and its not a loud knocking its a tapping and it speeds up when i push on the gas

The engines are the same dimensions and use the same mounts, but the wiring and sensors are a bit different and you need the computer and gauge cluster out of the supercharged car.
Well, lets see....there is no "Grand Prix Turbo" so I am assuming that you mean that your Grand Prix is a 3.8L that is equipped with a supercharger.
The supercharger bearings are lubricated with synthetic oil that is contained in the supercharger gousing. It is self-contained and does not rely on engine oil for lubrication. You can check the oil level in the supercharger by removing the plug in the supercharger housing (see diagram)
Although the GTP has a supercharger the engine makeup is basically the same. 3800 series II The front from pass. to driver is 1-3-5 and rears pass. to driver is 2-4-6. The plug wire order is 145236
If I remember correctly this vehicle has a plastic plenum and the pcv valve is inside the plenum. Only time it is usually replaced is when the intake gasket needs replaced (and it will).
