Please note the car is ia fiesta not focus( it is not listed in the listing) ford fiesta 1.4 petrol year 52 engine failure / rebuild head various dtc faults cleared ignition is coming on but car not starting it does crank outstanding dtc's u1262 scp (j1850) communication bus fault light flashing with red car and lock symbol p1000 obdii monitor testing incomplete thanks for any help

The code U1262 point out a communication fault between the vehicle modules and a scanner. It may be best to visit your local dealer to find if one of the vehicles control modules has failed. In some cases this can be as simple as a blown fuse, but there is always a reason for a fuse to blow
and a oil sending circuit fail. would need to be tested.
P1000 DTC code is a manufacturer specific trouble code. your code reader is not reading or communicating correctly you will need to check the fuses for all the modules and check the connections on the plugs and the units to check the modules to see if they have good contact. also check the main earth from the battery to the shell and make sure the contact is good.

There is a problem with the electronics on your vehicle. Your vehicle is sluggish because it has gone into limp mode. This allows the vehicle to run, but run poorly so you can get it somewhere to be fixed. I'm sorry but I don't have a code book for Fords. But, you can call a Ford dealership and ask for the service department and have them look up the code by number and they can tell you the definition of the code. But, it can relate to many different systems linked to your problem. Electronic parts are very expensive and if you just guess at them it could be costly.
Keep in mind if you buy a part that is electronic and it does not solve the problem they will not allow you to return it. Hope this gives you some guidance to your dilemma.

P1000 means that you or someone has disconnected the battery,and the car has not been driven far / long enough for the computer to relearn its stratagies.
Engine light could be the fault of the speed sensor, or wiring to the sensor.

The trans. control module is throwing this code. Shouldn't keep it from starting, but ya never know.
Try unhooking the ground on the battery for aprox 30min to clear the code. If it starts, drive a few miles and recheck codes....

If not in the owners manual, look in the maintenance guide. If it has a belt rather than timing chain, it will likely be in the 100,000 mile ballpark. Gates products lists engines that are subject to damage with a broken belt, and engines that require belt replacement. If you can't find your engine listed, it has a chain. www.gates.com to start

Please remove the Ford Fiesta logo from the car and it should run better. If not then try replacing the fuel filter.

I can answer part of your question. You need to get online for your engine search. The Salvage yards are tied in thru the internet to each other.

Try AutopartsPricer.com or PowerblockDirectory.com. I know when looking in the Yellow Pages several Salvage Yards advertised about their Internet Search. One of the listings I hoped to give you had an entire list of used prices and the mileage of the cars they were in.

If I did not send the right .com, I can tell you at least they will turn up in a Websearch. Rebuilders are also a possibility and they would be listed under engine rebuilders. Try 1-313-769-4433 for a rebuild with 3year/250,000mile warranty and 65 years of experience.

Hi please help, I have a mk 1 ford focus 1.8 zetec petrol 2000 model, when i start the engine the pulley i think for the water pump wobbles and a loud screaching noise is heard also steam. I have checked...

The bearings in the water pump are shot. This is why your pulley is shaking and screeching. If you are not careful it will lock down and break the serp belt and will run extremely hot, enough to warp the head and internal engine failure. Get this repaired quickly. The bolts don't have anything to do with the bearings gone.
