I just got a '72 Chrysler Executive Motorhome that has had a minor engine fire, What do i need to do to fix it All the wires appear to still be in tact for all the coating have been burned off. The carburator may be rebuildable. What do I need to do first?
I own a shop and you may be able to re-wire this one, one wire at a time ,i have did a few cars and trucks this way that i couldn't find harness for,if its in tact at each end you,ll be in good shape on this one, look it over real good ,and make sure the plugs on the wires survived the fire, and id so you can do it ,this may take some time but you can do it,start doing one wire at a time, and ,make sure at no time during doing this you have power on anything, its going to be a while before you,ll be able to check it again, but i think you,ll get it done with very little trouble, just take your time, and if you get aggravated with it walk away from it,and come back to it,it has took me literally weeks to re- wire one,so just do it one wire at a time, good luck with it hope this helps.
