Heater core on a 2003 Chevrolet pickup 4 wheel drive crew cab

How do I get to the heater core on a 2003 Chevrolet pickup 4 wheel drive crew cab?

I have a chevy s10, two wheel drive with A/C. The heat went out on the coldest week in Tennessee. The thermostat has been changed and the radiator has been flushed and new antifreeze installed. I checked the hoses coming to the heater core from the water pump to the return to the engine block, the hose from the pump is full of antifreeze and the hose from the core to the engine block is DRY. I think that the heater core is gone and I am still not receiving any heat to the cab. Is there a switch that I'm missing? And what can I also check before I begin removing the heater core?

I have the same simptons. No real heat. I replaced my thermostst & anti-freeze also, and that didn't fix anything. I finally flush the hearter core and anti-freeze came out black in color, and it heated for about 3 days. I now flush the heater core every 3 to 4 days to get heat, after that, I get cold air again.

If you have air conditioning you will need to take it to a garage and recover the r134, you will need to remove the dash to allow you to remove the heater box, it's an ugly job, I've done a dozen or so and can do it in about 6 hours now, the first time it was closer to 11 hrs, good luck

I'm in need of a fuel tank for a s- 10 chevy pickup. 4 wheel drive. 6 cylinder crew cab. it broke. any suggestions would help.

ok well it looks like i have found a used gas tank that is about 300$ cheaper then buying new off rock auto. Click here to see gastank. generally you would also want to change the fuel pump with a new one. That way you dont put it in and a week later the fuel pump dies. If you need further assistance or any advice on how to do this please feel free to let me know and i will be glad to assist you.

Where are the heater hoses located? I have a 2003 f250 with a 5.4 V8

they are the small hoses (5/8" and 3/4") that connect to the heater core nipples on the firewall under the hood at the rear of the engine

Coolant leaking into cab of 1992 chevy s10

The heater core is leaking, this is what fills with coolant, and heats up from the engine, and the blower pushes the warm air from the heater core into the cab.The garage would be the best bet to replace the heater core for you.

Removing the heater core from 2000 silverado

When I replaced the heater core on my 95 Suburban, I seem to remember having to disconnect the A/C lines on the firewall for the evaporator. There were also several nuts to remove on the engine firewall side from studs on the heater box that pass thru the firewall. It is definately a lot of work.

Good luck.

Heater doesn,t blow hot

Have you checked your coolant? if coolant is low it can cause an air pocket in heater core and it wont pass out until rpm's increase by the extra flow of water pump. if it is full then might wanna try removing heater hoses and back flushing heater core with water might have a little trash in it restricting flow.
