Crankshaft sensor for vw polo where is the crankshaft sensor located on a vw polo
Crankshaft sensor is located on the right side of the cylinder block behind or under the starter. It is fitted into the rear crankshaft oil seal hausing
AZQ 1.2 engine the Crankshaft sensor is near to the oil dip stick. Follow the tube down towards the sump and you will see a black wired sensor has one bolt. This I think also controls the rev counter and timing of the ignition. From what I have read these can cause problems as does the EGR valve. Check for vacuum air leeks before anything else at the EGR valve at top front of engine with a tube fitted for the vacuum. The Mass air flow is in the throttle body. and the vacuum map sensor is to the left of the engine behind the dip stick fitted onto the air intake manifold. The speedo sensor is on the gearbox right hand lower rear above the drive shaft at back of engine low down facing top side. The temp sensor is to the right side of the cylinder head near /on the plastic thermostat water manifold with the coolant pipes. hope this helps you.
