AZQ 1.2 engine the Crankshaft sensor is near to the oil dip stick. Follow the tube down towards the sump and you will see a black wired sensor has one bolt. This I think also controls the rev counter and timing of the ignition. From what I have read these can cause problems as does the EGR valve. Check for vacuum air leeks before anything else at the EGR valve at top front of engine with a tube fitted for the vacuum. The Mass air flow is in the throttle body. and the vacuum map sensor is to the left of the engine behind the dip stick fitted onto the air intake manifold. The speedo sensor is on the gearbox right hand lower rear above the drive shaft at back of engine low down facing top side. The temp sensor is to the right side of the cylinder head near /on the plastic thermostat water manifold with the coolant pipes. hope this helps you.

Polo classic 1.6 engine I replaced rear oil seal and sencer after all vehicle not spark, and injectors not spraying fuel.

The sensor you replaced is the engine speed sensor. There is a special tool that VW uses to align the ring on the crankshaft. If you do not align the timing marks, the vehicle will not start.

Location of temp.control sensor on vw polo 2002 1.2

Hi rabing

This sensor is located in cylinder head. Depending on engine code, this sensor is also a sensor for tick-over fuel / air mixture. If this is the case there will be 4 wires fitted to it

Dear Customer,

1
check your sensors 1st,all sensors must be good

2
if all sensors are working good than check your engine firing sequence, some times happens when sequence was wrong,

3
check your exhaust and carborator tuning pin that creates the batter combination for firing in bore for batter performance & less emitions ,so check is it ok or not than go to your nearest service center that havad certified mechanics,

till you read this you had solve this problem definatly,
