Good morning,
the service notification on the dash is a warning that your car needs a service within 1000k.it needs to be reset after the service is carried out.volkswagen are clever in that they have the computer tool to switch it off although some other garages keep the tool also.
you can leave it as is as its causing no harm at all......

My opel astra model 2002 rev counter only work in the first time the car is started in the morning after that it does not work anymore

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all.
Plus i know a website that sells very cheap but very very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime.
it's reliable-store.com
there's also manualslife.com
both are pretty good for this

Car uses fob key and in the morning times it won't start reasons why?

FOB may need new battery. Does the dash say it doesn't detect the fob? Does it give a battery warning? My Nissan gives these notifications so you know when to change the battery or if it doesn't detect the fob at all.

Bmw engines problems

worked on quite a few and never a problem here ,baverian motor werks cars are on the whole very good so i suspect that some idiot in the garage has jumped started the motor and revved it from cold flat out ,Seen it all before now dont mess around tell them to put a new block assembly in and if not sue the pants off them then send the sherrifs in to collect if they refuse ,take out a county court order get the address a little wrong so they do not recieve the court notifications then apply for a enforcement order which costs 60quid but make sure the enforcement order has the correct address and the sherrifs will not leave till payment made in full CASH .Give the garage the chance first to put it right dont lose your rag just walk away if they give you you a bum answer then do as i said ,if that doesnt work get the boss on his own and use a pick axe handle --no witnesses if that doesnt work then its the hammer and nails onto a wooden floor

2003 VW Passat, epc light, car won't start

It is possible that the timing belt broke when you stopped the car. Check to see if the cam shaft is turning . Look inside the oil filler cap and see if anything is moving as it is being cranked . If not then that will be the reason for no compression as the valves will be bent. Some general mechanics have an overall knowledge but generally lack specific knowledge for specific vehicles. An accredited VW service centre would be preferable but there are V W accredited shops that specialise in your car that generally employ V W trained mechanics so the choice is yours.

Dealer Service Instructions for:
Customer Satisfaction Notification G41
Reprogram PTCM and Install Luggage Compartment
Warning Tag

Effective immediately Rapid Response Transmittal (RRT) 07-040 is cancelled
and all repairs on involved vehicles are to be performed according to this
notification. Those vehicles that have already had this repair performed, as determined by our warranty records, have been excluded from this notification.

Models

2008 (JS) Chrysler Sebring Convertible
NOTE : This notification applies only to the above vehicles built from August 31, 2007 through September 28, 2007 (MDH 083100 through 092821).

IMPORTANT : Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer vehicle inventory. Dealers should complete this repair on these vehicles before retail delivery. Dealers should also perform this repair on vehicles in for service. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the VIP inquiry process.

Subject
The Power Top Control Module (PTCM) software on about 1,200 of the above
vehicles may deform the convertible top header motor gear(s) under certain
operating conditions. In addition, storing objects forward of the trunk cargo shield can damage the convertible top mechanism if the top is lowered. Either condition can cause the convertible top to become inoperative.

Repair

The Power Top Control Module must be reprogrammed and a luggage compartment warning tag must be installed.

Special Tools

Completion Reporting and Reimbursement
Claims for vehicles that have been serviced must be submitted on the
DealerCONNECT Claim Entry Screen located on the Service tab. Claims
submitted will be used by Chrysler to record Customer Satisfaction Notification service completions and provide dealer payments.

Use the labor operation number and time allowance shown.

Dealer Notification

All dealers will receive one copy of this dealer notification letter by mail. To view this notification on DealerCONNECT, select "Global Recall System" on the Service tab, then click on the description of this notification.

Owner Notification and Service Scheduling

All involved vehicle owners known to Chrysler are being notified of the service requirement by mail. They are requested to schedule appointments for this service with their dealers. A generic copy of the owner letter is included.

Enclosed with each owner letter is an Owner Notification postcard to allow owners to update our records if applicable.

Vehicle Lists, Global Recall System, VIP and Dealer Follow Up

All involved vehicles have been entered into the DealerCONNECT Global Recall System (GRS) and Vehicle Information Plus (VIP) for dealer inquiry as needed.
GRS provides involved dealers with an updated VIN list of their incomplete
vehicles. The owner's name, address and phone number are listed if known.
Completed vehicles are removed from GRS within several days of repair claim submission.

To use this system, click on the "Service" tab and then click on "Global Recall System." Your dealer's VIN list for each recall displayed can be sorted by: those vehicles that were unsold at recall launch, those with a phone number, city, zip code, or VIN sequence.
Dealers should perform this repair on all unsold vehicles before retail
delivery. Dealers should also use the VIN list to follow up with all owners to schedule appointments for this repair.

VIN lists may contain confidential, restricted owner name and address information that was obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles of various states. Use of this information is permitted for this notification only and is strictly prohibited from all other use.

Transmission not shifting when in drive dropped pan cleaned magnet and gaskets, filter put in new fluid and still not shifting when in drive not sure as to what else could be making it act this way......

Odds are that the transmission is in the Defualt mode which mean you will have Park, Reverse, Nuetral, and what seems like first gear but is actually 2nd gear. Usually when this happens it is because of a mechanical internal failure or an electronic control issue such as a sensor, shift solenoid, etc. The only way to really know is to have someone hook up the the TCM [transmission control module] and check for service codes and possibly road test it to see what kind of data it is recieving from the transmision. I would advise against driving it any more than you have to and getting it checked out as soon as possible.

2005 Grand Jeep Cherokee Copmuter Updates

I would call the area zone manager.
If this dealership has been your only service utility I would ask the Service Manager if he could charge it out to another vehicle VIN number.
This may seem underhanded but I know it happens for good customers.
