Remover the switch in the glove box and jump the wires first to see if that releases the trunk to open

1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. How to open the trunk without a key?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Television and Video category.

Normally you remove the back seat back, and pull the emergency release. Or a mobile locksmith can get in. If the lock is worn, any similar shape key may work with some jiggling. Also look in the glove box for a release button.

I just found this in your Owner Manual for Cutlass Supreme

Remote Trunk Release (OPTION) Press the yellow trunk release button located under the instrument panel on the driver's side. Your automatic transaxle must be in P (Park). Remember that your trunk can be opened at any time using the lock release. Be sure to lock your doors

and also access into the back.

Trunk Access Panel If you have split rear seats, you may have a trunk access panel for storing long objects like skis. Pull your rear armrest down using the strap. Then pull the latch on the trunk access panel towards you to open the panel. To close the access panel lift the latch.

How to open 98 cadillac trunk without keys

We had locked our only set of keys in our trunk and found it is literally impossible to get through the back seat to the trunk and the trunk release latch would not work and neither would the glove box release. We pulled the negative cable off the battery and left off for about 2 minutes and when we put it back on it reset all functions and trunk latch worked again. Hope this helps someone else.

What options do I have in gaining access to the trunk of my 2004 jaguar xj8 that has gone into valet lockout

all back seats are either screwed down or hooked in. you need to use a little muscle and lift up your back seat to see which is which. there is no other way to gain entry to your trunk.Trust me Ive locked my keys in my trunk too. Now i have a hidden spare to my door and trunk. GOOD LUCK

If it has the electric trunk release, the button could be in the glove box.

I locked my keys in the trunk the 2 keys ignition and trunk keys r locked in the trunk ..how can i get the trunk opened to get them out?

I did this once myself to my 1989 crown vic. There should be 2 bolts on the back seat (follow the seat belt down, you'll feel them.) Take off the nuts from each side and the backrest of the entire seat pulls up and out. you should be able to see clearly into the trunk, grab a flashlight and hopefully hook your keys pulling them out.

Another possibility is the trunk open button in the glove box should you be so equipped, but it may require power to open, the crown vic would not release unless the car was on, but it could be worth a try.

My son locked his keys in the trunk. Weh ave

You can pull off the back seats. If they do not fold down they will have medal clips on the back of the seats. You will have to pull up hard and when they release pull forward. Takes some muscle to get it off. Do not pull forward until the seat is off all the clips or else you will bend the clips and the seat will not go back on flush as it is now.

Keys locked in trunk - trunk release inside car will not release the trunk - valet lock does not work - no release in glove box Help!

A dealer or qualified locksmith can make a key from the VIN, provided the lock cylinders are original. Usually they will require proof of ownership before doing so.
