SOURCE: my windshield wipers won't turn off

CHEVYS ARE RENOWN FOR THEIR EXCELLENT WIPER SETUPS, The wiper switch control is more likely to be the suspect other than the wiper motor. New ones don't cost too much an not that hard to install. In the mean time, Find the fuse for the wipers and familiarurize yourself with it so you can remove it and still drive. Ensure the fuse does not operate any other important function before you remove it. Good luck

SOURCE: 2003 Chevy SuBurban The windshield wipers will not

It is actually a wiper control module that controls this. I have replaced many of them. It is the cover that is screwed to the wiper gear box. Remove both wiper arms. Remove the plastic cowl cover below the windshield that covers from side to side. Once inside you will see the wiper motor/transmission assy. Disconnect the electrical connector, and remove screws from cover, and replace it.

SOURCE: how can i turn off my windshield wipers on my 2004 trailblazer they won't turn off

There are only to things which could cause this. The wiper motor cover or the switch itself.Which is part of the multi-function switch. The cover is cheaper. It is located under the air inlet grill. The cover is on the wiper motor itself. There is a circuit board on here that causes this problem. It is the part you need to replace.Hope this helps.Good luck.

99 Suburban Windshield Wiper Issue.

It sounds to me as though both of the wipers have slipped. The operation of the wipers sounds fine except they do not park in the correct location. To fix this, start the wipers and then turn them off to ensure they think they are in the parked location. At the base of each wiper there is a small cover that can be easily removed with a small screwdriver. Underneath each cover you will see a nut. Loosen the nut somewhat and reposition each windshield wiper to the proper park location. Once done, tighten the nuts securely but do not over tighten, then reinstall the caps. Cycle your wipers on and off a few times to ensure the wipers park correctly. I have owned a lot of vehicles and ALL of my GM vehicles have had this problem.

Windshield wipers won't turn off

The problem is that moisture has gotten to the circuit board inside of the windshield wiper motor. Replace the whole motor. The new ones are supposed to be sealed better as this is a common problem with GM trucks. It's a fairly simple procedure. Remove the windshield wiper arms. Remove the plastic cowl vent. And then unplug, remove and replace the motor. Make sure that everything goes back exactly the way you found it or you might get the motor reversed and have to redo the installation. The motor should be around $60 or so.
