Try the 40 amp blower fuse under the hood or the 30 amp under the dash. The check the blower resistor motor under the dash on the passenger side. Check the connector plug to see if they are damaged.

Where is the blend door actuator located on 2006 Chevy Silverado?

My ac works, but my heater blows cold air. Is there any way I can replace actuator by going thru the glove compartment?

2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 z71 4x4 the ac wont kick off after key is out of the ignition and it only blows hot air.

I am assuming you mean the blower will not stop with the key off.
The compressor can't run with the engine off.
I would look for a stuck blower relay.

Had exact same problem with my 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500. Would blow hot air thru drivers vents only and sometimes if I turned truck off and restarted would blow air conditioner for a bit. Rec'd recall letter from Chevrolet in January for this problem.

I have a 2006 chevy silverado and the heat and air only work on one setting. what could be the problem? It does blow heat and air but only on one of the 5 settings

Likely the resister and or the connection to it on the blower motor located on the passenger side (interior) . Moisture fries it and I had the same problem (common). There is a black plastic cover on the underside of dash that must be removed first. by Gerard Jan 11,2011

2006 chevy silverado blower fan not working right. The control does not work. It still blows on low but nothing else. Cut key off and fan still blows.

With one speed working it is more than likely the blower motor resistor (20 dollar part) located in the area of the blower--needs air to pass by it as it gets rather hot), or at worst case the Module. This part (Blower control Module) is a bit more expensive. Try the resistor first, you can test its resistance at different speed settings to see if it is functioning as it should.

I have a 2006 silverado, the fan to the cab won't blow air.

Check the connector to the blower resistor, they tend to burn and destroy the resistor and the connector. Its located near the blower motor on the passenger side footwell.
