1989 dodge ram 50 turns over but won't start. has spark. is getting fuel.

Sounds like you covered everything you did. I would pull the dist. cap back off. Take a good look at your rotor. Does it screw down or push down on. If it has screws that hold it down, take it off and make sure that it isn't 180 degree out. some of the older ones will fit either way but it wont' sit just right. Let me know how you make out.

Won't start

Check the fuel injectors, with the key on one side of the two wire connector will have battery voltage, if none is present then check the ECM fuses in the underhood fuel box.

There is no test for module in distributor, but they often cause this kind of problem. Also while in there, check the pickup coil wires to make sure they are intact.

Car dies or loses power while driving. Changed out, spark plugs, wires, battery, fuel pump, fuel filter, distributer cap. Not sure what else to check.

My 1995 died after rain storms and high humidity,my mechanic changed the distribution cap, the wires and ignition and its find now 181,000 and still going strong.

CANT FIGURE IT OUT

Is the fuel pump running? Take the gas cap off and put your ear by the filler. Now have someone turn the key to the on position (not all the way to start). You should hear the fuel pump run for about 3 seconds. If you don't hear the pump run, the most likely culprit is the fuel pump itself. Second possibility is the fuel pump relay.
