Remove power seat switch 1989 corvette - 1989 Chevrolet Corvette

Removing one of the fuses disconnected the anti theft module.

isn't there just a connector under the seat so you can just leave the switch in the seat and disconnect the connector below ?

did you check the light switch? or a broken wire

Find the power wire, on your model it should be pink for faded red color, possibly purple. This is the +12 volt wire that should have power with key on and blower switch on high. THere should be voltage between this wire and ground, if not check the relay or resister, problem may be blower switch.

check the gear boxes they might be stripped

Clean your the pins on the control located under and attached to the control in your center console.

Try removing your seat bottom to access small motor that moves the seat,Tap on seat motors while holding seat switch in the forward position.

REMOVAL

1. Relieve fuel system pressure.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove fuel filler door.
4. Remove fuel cap.
5. Remove fuel tank filler neck housing and disconnect drain hose.
6. Remove screws attaching fuel meter/fuel pump to tank.
7. Disconnect fuel lines, fuel vapor line and electrical connector.
8. Remove fuel meter/fuel pump and gasket.
9. Replace fuel pump.

INSTALLATION

1. Reverse procedure to install.

check the oil pressure gauge,it is probably leaking,down inside the dash.it is very unusual to have oil inside the car.
