Probably the CV on the axle. Much better than in transmission. Check boots on all 4 CV joints for tears Ithere is a CV on each end of both axles. If torn, replace axle.

2001 mercedes benz transmission solenoid is located where ? And my key turns but car wont start HELPPPPP !!!

All of them are inside the transmission. And the no start could be the safety switch located on the transmission. Sounds like you have an electrical problem Instead of solenoids.

yes-your cv(constant velocity)shaft goes from your transmission to your wheel, when your transmission turns it turns the cv shaft which in turn spins your wheel-if the shaft breaks at the joint it will not turn your wheel

WILL START AND GO BUT TURN A CORNER IT WILL REV UP AND NOT GO. SOUNDS LIKE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING. IT HAS 146K ON IT.

sounds like the clutches in the transmission are slipping, hence when you turn a corner more load is applied on your transmission and hence it slipping. But before you decide to overhaul the transmission, please check the transmission fluid incase it is low and when you turn a corner the fluid shifts to one side it loses the pressure.

What would cause a P.T Cruiser to lose mph and not go anywhere

Sounds like transmission problems to me. Check your transmission fluid. If it is very low, you need to find out why. Probably a broken cooler line, (going from the transmission to the radiator) bad transmission output seal,(where the axles come out of the transmission) or front pump seal. (leaking between the engine block and the transmission housing) If it smells bad (like burned oil) and is dark brown, your transmission is burned up.

Ticking noise, grinding noise when turning, front wheel looks off

For the occasionally turning sound:
Sounds to me like you may want to check your CV boots for cracks. If water and other debris has got up into the boot then it could have damaged your cv joint which is a swivel joint to allow turning on front wheel cars. The boot is right at the point where your axle meets the wheel assembly.

The second problem with the transmission: with that kind of miles on the car, you may want to change the transmission fluid and filter and then add a container of TransX, used for older transmissions. Then see what happens. The TransX additive helps with seals and such... or you could just add the TransX to your transmission while its warm , drive it about 100 miles and hopefully see the effects.
