The locks on my 2001 Saturn are not working but make clicking noises whether the engine is running or not. Recently something has been draining my battery and I believe its these locks as they continue to click and make lock and unlock sounds when I am not in the vehicle. Have you a solution for this problem?

Had this problem on a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais. Took it to an auto electric shop, and they pinpointed that the electric door lock module was bad, with bad contacts that were shorted out due to moisture.

After disassembling it and sanding the contacts and reassembling, I had no more problems with the random power door locks locking on me.

I since have sold the car and haven't heard about any more problems with that problem.

On a newer car than my 1990 Oldsmobile it can be the body control module, too.

Randomly locking doors and sometimes continuous clicking leading to battery drainage.

If the locking seems continuous and almost glitchy I would buy new locks for both front doors. If it seems to be one timing lock and not acting glitchy then it most likely is a interference with a security alarm at that point I would disconnect the fuse for pwr locks as a quick fix.

Your cars blower motor is probably shot from moisture and you should check the resistor also as it runs all the speed functions of the blower motor regards Chris

2001 saturn replaced 3 batterys all go dead after acuople of days, did system check every thing fine what can be the problem?

Did that system check include checking the voltage at the battery with the engine running? It should be 14 - 14.5 volts. If that's OK you may have something draining the battery.

I just want to ask , my friend have a problem with he's saturn s-series 2001, the problem is it is really hard to start we just only hear a click noise so we decide to change the starter, but i just...

Alot of the time the anti theft security can actually disable your starter. Check to see if there is a light on the dash that says SECURITY or a little picture of a car with a lock thru it. This would be a dead give away of the security problem. Check out this link for info and DO IT YOURSELF solutions to this problem.

Loud continuous clicking noise from all 4 door locks,

Either 1) One of the door lock switches is stuck (the car is continuously trying to lock or unlock the doors, most likely in the "unlock" position); try to wiggle each door lock switch up and down (into the lock and then unlock position) to see if you can free the stuck switch. 2) More difficult to repair - the locking system's wiring harness has become damaged such that an exposed conductor is making contact with a metal part of the car (i.e. it's being grounded, which has the same effect as operating the door lock switch. Has any work been performed on this car recently, especially any door panels removed? Someone could have shot a screw through the wiring harness. If this is the nature of the problem, it may be a slow, tedious repair.

Power door locks going crazy

One of your door lock inside switches are bad.Find the one that doesn't feel right when you push it in either lock or unlock. The internal spring is broke causing the lock relay to keep try to lock or unlock until it gets hot & protects.
