I have a 2005 Chevy Impala, the Traction light comes on and the car makes a grinding noise when I put it in drive after it has been parked. My Service Traction light has come on and the ABS light at the same time but does not stay on. I have read alot of solutions to this problem, but I'm not sure where to start to fix it.

The ABS control Module is going bad, that all, since the ABS and traction work together you will get both lights on. Take to a mechanic, expect to spend about $500.

How can tell which lower motor mount is bad on my 2004 chevy impala 3.4 liter ? Does a bad motor mount make the engine have grinding noises after running the car?

With the park brake on, start the engine with the hood open so you can see it through the windshield. Put it in reverse and give it some gas, if the engine moves up, you have a broken mount. Do the same in drive. If the motor moves up then the mount on the side of the engine that moved up is broken. If these tests don't show a broken mount then your grinding noise is coming from elsewhere.

2005impala,has check engine light on, traction control light will come on and a grinding noise occurs when turning wheel sharply around corners. Then it stops.Happens all the time, even on dry surfaces

have code retrieved most auto stores offer this service for free ---check hub /wheel bearing grinding good possibility its shot hub has abs sensor built into it which can be part of traction control issue -c/v axle can also give grinding issue ----as well as check brakes may need brake replacement --stuck/damaged caliper - a brake pad damaged/stuck against rotor
