SOURCE: No Hi Beam on 93 Camry

The headlamp circuit is rather simple. From the 15 amp RH headlamp fuse, there is a red w/yellow trace that goes to the RH high beam. Out of the 15 amp LH headlamp fuse, the wire going to the LH Hi beam is solid red. Both of these wires should have power when the headlamp relay is energized. The wires from the Hi Beam bulbs going back to the switch should both be red w/black trace. The wire going from the headlamp relay to power the 2 15 amp fuses is white. The headlamp switch applies a ground to illuminate either the Lo Beams or the Hi Beams.

You may have replaced the high beam by mistake. The low beam is closer to the exterior (the sides of the car)

SOURCE: headlights wont turn on but high beams do on my camry

Have you tried new bulbs, its rare but both low beams may have blown at the same time, it has happened to me in the past.
I don't know your car but the high and low beams could be fused separately so you are left with at least one set in an emergency.

Where is the headlamp relay on a 2007 saturn ion

Are both low beams an high beams not working ? What engine does your car have ? Low beam relay only on 2.2 L .
On vehicles with manual headlamps, the LH HDLP and RH HDLP fuse in the fuse block - under hood, supply battery positive voltage to both low beam lamps and high beam lamps at all times. The low beam and high beam circuits continue through the fuse block - under hood, through the body control module (BCM), and to the headlamp switch. The low beam or high beam circuit then, depending on the position of the dimmer switch, continues through the headlamp switch. When the headlamp switch is placed in the ON position, it provides a ground path for the low beam or high beam lamps through G203. The low beam and high beam circuits are monitored by the BCM.
Is there B+ voltage at the headlamp fuse's ? Power runs from fuse through the head lamps to the dimmer switch through the head lamp switch to ground when turned on . If there is B+ voltage at the fuse ,check for voltage at the headlamp switch .

Replaced the head lamp bulb but only works on high beam

Make sure the other filament is good and that it is receiving power. If no power check relays, fuses, switches, etc for low beams.

No low beam lights but have high beam lights

check the light globe as a lot of cars have two filaments in the halogen globe. One for low beam and one high beam filament.
You could get a 12v probe and then pull of the light plug and see if low beam bul is getting 12 volts when lights on low beam.

Hight beam wont come on

If you check to make sure your headlight switch connector is plugged in correctly and all other connections are made then the head light switch ( high beam portion) internal connections aren't making a good enough contact or are broken. In this case replace switch.

Headlight problem: 84 Toyota SR5 4wd wagon. When I got the car the high beams didn't work. Replaced both bulbs, still didn't work. Returned bulbs and replaced again, everything worked. A few weeks...

Have you tried replacing the relay as the internal contacts do eventually get to a point, because they switch latge currents, where they do not make a proper contact ? From memory,Toyata vehicles of that decade , the headlight relay was used to switch the earth side of the headlight circuit and operated by toggling between the high and low beam circuits. They also had a separate fuse for each of the the high and low circuits rated around 15 - 20 Amps. You could use a test lamp or multi meter on the contact pins on the rear of the globe socket to check if power is getting the globes. Also check any points where earth leads are attached to body near the relay box as a bad earth could also attribute to the problem. If necessary disconnect, clean thoroughly by removing any paint or corrosion an reconnect securely.
