Keep the plugs gapped between 45-60 thousandths and you will be good to go on all these vehicles remember a wider gap means a quicker wera out factor and a harder push for the ignition coils to bridge the gap on the electrodes. be certain the threads are clean and the plugs don't get smashed on the way in, if you have a hard to install spark plug use a flexible 1/4" inche vacumn hose and attach it to the tip of the plug be sure it fits tight, if needed go down to a smaller diameter, cut it to the length you need and walla, hand thread the monster into the hiol;e, then commence to use your ratchets/sockets.(use a plug socket that has the rubber protector inside it to avoid cracking the spark plug insulator when tightening)
Have fun!!!!!!! And now you know!!!!!!!!!!

1993 Ford Ranger 4.0. Where does the spark plug gap on it?

It depends on the spark plugs that have been used. Some are pre gapped, some have three preset side electrodes around the edge. Gapping spark plugs is not as critical as the old days due to modern CDI ignition systems which give a much larger spark and huge improvements in spark plug technology.

Ther is no spark at the spark plugs, what are likly causes.

check fuses. The coil should get 12V with IGN key in run position. Check the pickup module inside the distributer and see that the shaft turns when engine is cranked. You may need a new ign module. If spark is good at the coil, the plugs/wires are at fault.
