Po733- gear 3 ratio incorrect, po734- gear 4 ratio incorrect. this is how to fix. You can try replacing the shift solenoids inside the transmission as long as the trans fluid is nice and clean looking. If the trans fluid is dark or burnt looking, it time for a new tranny if you need further assistance please let me know and i will be glad to assist you. Thanks, Midwest-Tek
ya sounds like transmission fluid. Best way is to take the dipstick wipe it off. Then stick it back in and pull it out and wipe it again. Then look and see how it looks. It could also look newer if you recently got a transmission fluid flush/change. That always isnt a sign but it helps.
All in all from what i know with experience these could be the problems for your codes.
faulty valve body
internal seal cut or damaged
hyrdaulic line pressure faulty
faulty 3rd, and 4th clutch plates
shift solenoid packs faulty
To test the shift solenoids a diagnostic scanner is needed to perform solenoid audible check. If solenoids are ok, transmission will need to be pulled and valve body, cluctch plates and internal seals checked.
In all likelyhood you are looking at a transmission overhaul.
If you need further explanation or assistance please let me know and i will be glad to assist you further. Thanks, Midwest-tek
sorry forgot to add yes transmission fluid is red and if you feel it with your fingers it should feel oily and smooth like oil. Not to thin like water though. That could also be a sign of worn out transmission fluid.
and if you need further assistance please feel free to follow up with a comment and let me know and i will be glad to assist you further. Thanks, Midwest-tek
you have to take the transmission out to check em really. But if it wont shift into 3rd or 4th and then goes back down to the lower gear. They are bad. If the car still does a hard shift into gear they may be fine and you could possibly clean them
if you need further assistance please let me know if this helped you with your problem please feel free to rate it accordingly. Thanks, Midwest-tek

If I was checking the right dipstick, the trans fluid was something of a cherry red and didn't smell burnt really. Is this how it is supposed to look?
How do you tell if the solenoids are okay or not?
