Something is shorting out and blowing the fuse. remove both tail light bulbs then change fuse and turn on lights. if fuse does not blow then try new bulbs in tail lights to see if that works. If fuse blows without lights in tail lights then you might have to look at front lights as well since they are all on same fuse i believe.

2001 cherokee xj. Tail lights and dash light fuse keeps burning out. Replaced light switch in dash, still burning out fuses. Do I need to replace the tail light harness.

if the fuse keeps on blowing it is because of too much current being used by the lights you may have a bare wire in the trunk touching something causing a short circuit or one of the tail lights may be damaged if you have had something in the trunk EG. a tool box or the like that has been moving around while you have been traveling, you need to check for any damage to the lights or wiring.....hope this helps......cheers.

Tail light / dashboard not working, fuse is burn out 15 amp

Replace the fuse, and check the lights (tail lights) to make sure they are working ,and if not, inspect to see if the bulbs,or bulb is the reason for the short.

My 1995 honda accord, dash light stop working, tail lights and brake lights all at the same time. what is the problem and how hard is it to replace the part.

I'm having the same problem on my 1995 Honda Accord.  I hit a bump hard last night, and my dash lights, tail-lights, license-plate lights, and the bell which 'bing's when the door is open and the headlights are on all stopped working.  The fuse for "Small lights" under the hood was blown.  Replaced it, turned on headlights, and it blew again instantly.
I'm guessing that I have a wire crossed (possibly inside the bulb itself) in the dash somewhere;  I checked the taillights and license-plate liights already.

Good luck!  I'll let you know how my fix goes.

My 1990 honda accord tail lights are not working and i cant find the fuse for it to check it

Fuses. Check those in the engine compartment fuse box (far upper left as you face the car). If, after you replace anything that has blown, it blows again, that would suggest a short somewhere in the system.
If you mean your brake lights, the fuse you are looking for is probably the 20A STOP/HORN fuse in your under hood box. If you are dealing with just tail lights, I believe the fuse is the 15A SMALL LIGHT fuse. If neither of them is blown, I would open the trunk and check the bulbs in the fixtures.
Hope this is of some help.

Only headlights work, 91 4dr EX

ok supaxang, could this solution be as simple as replace the 2 rear bulbs? The brake light and tail light (parking light) are the same bulb, 2 filaments, one for brakes, one for tail lights. If the the tail light filament burns out, the brake light will continue to work ok. It is quite possible that both tail lights burned out, and the brake light filaments are good and still working. Replace w/ bulb #2057. Let me know if this fixes it, if not, I'll keep working on it.

Fuse box

Don't replace either one. Replace the light switch (that turns lights on and off) it must be defective, as when it's off power is still going to the tail lights. countrycurt0
