check youre fuses in the engine compartment fuse box there is a 7.5 amp fuse that is blown .if you have a trailer check youre wires and if not then check youre tail light bulb socket, ihopenthis help you good luck
Go to your fuse box in the engine compartment. Check the fuses in the box. Your turn signals and brakes to your trialer are controlled fron fuses in that box not inside the truck!
This is in the Owners Manual on page 209. If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford : https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owners_manuals/default.asp
Also handy to search for keyword in the PDF version.
Third brake light is on a differnt wrie then the turn signals on the truck. This is so it doesn't blink like your turn/brake lights do. Your fuse panel in the truck houses the fuses for the brake and turns on the truck .The fuse panel in the engine compartment houses the fuses for the trailer brake and turn. Check your fuses in the panel below your steering column for blown fuses and also check your rear bulbs as i have seen both burnt out at the same time. otherwise check your wiring harness right behind the last crossmember on the left side up by the spare tire. Sometimes they get corroded there at the connections.
Could use a little more info for this one but check the fuses in the engine compartment box first. They control the rear plug for trailer 7 way. The fuses under dash control the vehicle lights
look for a blown fuse in your engine compartment fuse box. if you dont find one there then check the fuse panel in the dash under you column. it could be one of the larger feed fuses in the engine compartment fuse box so dont overlook those.
You will need to get a 12 volt test light and check the trailer connector for a voltage signal to the trailer, it may also have seperate fuses under the hood for the trailer lights if the system is factory installed, federal law requires the 2 systems be isolated, if there are blown fuses find the short in the trailer before replacing fuse(s), with no exceptions the short is always in the trailer. Hint, check the fuses 1st.
