Check the battery cables making sure they are clean and tight. Have the batteries checked. Change both batteries at the same time if you don't the older one will pull down the new one and make it go bad quicker.

My batteries were low on water so the voltage was low and it keep throwing p2509. Added water and Its gone now.

Probably a bad connection to the engine computer. It's got two power feeds, switched/key and constant. The motor won't run without the switched key power on. Long story short, the computer can detect if the power leads aren't solid. Check the battery terminals, all the fuses, all the relays, and the PCM connector itself (if it's easily accessable).

I do not have Cummins codes so I would consider replacing the injectors or taking it to a Cummins service centre to have it fixed as the parts will not be cheap if not diagnosed correctly

DODGE DUALLY 2003 5.9 CODE P2509,PO628 TRUCK JUST CUT OFF DID NOT RESTART I CHANGED FUEL PUMP AND CHECKED IT BEFORE I INSTALLED TO VERIFY ITS WORKING PUMP HAS GROUND AND GAS GAUGE IS WORKING BUT NO POWER...

The PO628 means your lift pump has went bad. You can try hitting on it lightly and see if it will start back up. Many replace with an holly or equivalent aftermarket pump which is much better then the original. You can find info on the web to do this. http://www.dieselperformance.com/index.php/product/index/175P. The P2509 code sounds like one of your batteries is going bad. Have them checked out and see if they are fully charged and holding a charge. Also check to make sure the terminals are clean and cables are tight.

Code P2509

Check that ths DTC P2509 ECM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittent

Probably a bad connection to the engine computer. It's got two power feeds, switched/key and constant. The motor won't run without the switched key power on. Long story short, the computer can detect if the power leads aren't solid. That code should give the dealer something to look for. Before bringing it in check the battery terminals, all the fuses, all the relays, and the PCM connector itself (if it's easily accessable).

Also, according to the powertrain diagnostics manual, page 248, it's "Powerdown data lost error". Set condition: loss of voltage detected at the ECM for a calibrated amount of time.

If you don't trust your dealer to perform the diagnostics, I recommend splicing a volt meter into the following power pins on the ECM:
- Connector C2 (polarizing pins are at the bottom of the connector): 20, 30, and 40. Those need to be +12. Pins 21, 49, and 50 are the grounds.
- Run the voltmeter into the cab so you can watch it all the time.

Hope helps (remember rated this).
