Check the battery cables making sure they are clean and tight. Have the batteries checked. Change both batteries at the same time if you don't the older one will pull down the new one and make it go bad quicker.
My batteries were low on water so the voltage was low and it keep throwing p2509. Added water and Its gone now.
Probably a bad connection to the engine computer. It's got two power feeds, switched/key and constant. The motor won't run without the switched key power on. Long story short, the computer can detect if the power leads aren't solid. Check the battery terminals, all the fuses, all the relays, and the PCM connector itself (if it's easily accessable).
