There is a radiator fan relay switch located inside the passenger headlight enclosure. You may to remove the front grill to get to it or cut a hole there and you will see the relay. Also in the fuse box under the hood there is another fuse. It might be labeled TCM. Hope this helps.

Do anyone knows why my 2002 Ford explorer keeps running hot. I changed the thermostat and water pump and it's still running hot.

blocked radiator, blown head gasket, new thermostat in wrong
If the overheating is occurring at standing , low speeds or high rpm low road speed conditions , replace the viscous fan hub as it is not driving the fan properly
If you have electric fans check
bot fuses, engine coolant sensor, relay, fans and wiring

Keeps running hot

OVERHEATING CAN BE CAUSED BY LOW COOLANT,TOU COULD HAVE TOO MUCH WATER IN COOLANT SYSTEM YOU NEED 50/ 50 MIXTURE OF ANTIFREEZE AND WATER TO RAISE BOILING POINT.IF COOLANT OKAY, IF VECHICLE OVERHEATING DURING SHORT DRIVE COULD HAVE BAD THERMOSTAT AND FAULTY RADIATOR PRESSURE COOLANT CAP. IF THERMOSTAT OKAY CHECK WATER PUMP IF WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE LEAKING.YOU NEED NEW WATER PUMP.IF VECHICLE OVERHEATING WHILE VECHICLE SITTING IN A LONG TRAFFIC LINE.CHECK TO SEE IF COOLANT FANS RUNNING IF NOT CHECK COOLING FANS FUSE AND RELAYS.IF ALL IS GOOD. YOU COULD HAVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CODE SCAN FOR FAULTY PCM. HOT WIRE TO SEE IF COOLANT FANS WORK IF NO FAN MOTOR BAD IF YES COOLANT FANS WHEN HOT WIRED. FAULT COULD BE IN THE COOLANT FANS WIRES MAKE COOLANT FANS RECEIVING POWER IF NOT YOU HAVE BLOWED FUSE OR BAD RELAYS.

My truck keeps running hot. We change water pump, fuel pump, alternor, new belt, coolant temp sensor, and fan relay. Also A/C is not working so the fans wont come on. Is it another sensor in the truck...

Try connecting your fans directly to the battery to know if they are working. If they don't replace your fans. If they are ok, then change the thermostat.
Try this:
When engine cold, remove radiator cap, then fill the radiator with water and start the engine. If water jumps out of the radiator and continues going out as the engine warms up, then you have a bad head gasket and that's why is running hot.

It's running hot, in the first 10 minutes

you can remove the thremostat and see if it is still running hot, if it is it may be your fan relay, fan motor, sensor or water pump.

93 lexus gs 300 overheats. i changed water pump, thermostat, radiator cap. still overheating??? what could it be???

Try blowing the radiator fins out (from the inside) with compressed air--bugs and other debris can clog the air flow. Do the radiator fan(s) run when hot? If not, check for blown fuse, seized fan motor(s), bad relay, or bad engine thermal sensor. Is it losing coolant water from somewhere?

1990cad deville overheating

the first thing to check is to have the engine running. as soon as it reaches operating temp the upper radiator hose should get hot. if it doesn't then it's the thermostat. if it does then i believe your water pump is probably not circulating like it should and it should be replaced. however before replacing the wter pump make sure that the wire to sending unit is tight and not giving you a false reading. if your model has electric fans make sure the fans are running when the engine is hot. if they are not running check the relay in the fuse box for the fans with the engine running switch out the fan relay with the a/c clutch relay. ifthe fans kick on replay the relay with a new one. if they don't click on the it's either a bad wire or the temp sensor probe is bad. hope this answers your question. please rate this solution...thanks.

1993 cutlass supreme run hot

A common problem is that the electric fan will not operate. You need to determine if the fan is coming on when the vehicle gets warm.

When you replaced the coolant, were you sure that you got all of the air out of the cooling system? If you have any air in the system, it will cause your system to run hot!

Car runs hot

CHECK YOUR RELAY IN YOUR FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD ON THE DRIVERS SIDE INNER FENDER. THE A/C AND THE HEATER RELAY ARE SAME. CHECK AND SEE IF THE A/C REALY WORKS BY TURNING ON YOUR A/C SWITCH. THE ELECTRIC FAN SHOULD START RIGHT AWAY. OTHERWISE YOU HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE ENGINE ACHEIVES OPERATING TEMP TO KICK THE FAN ON. IF ONE DON'T WORK AND OTHER OTHER DOES... SWITCH THE RELAY AND SEE IF IT WORKS. BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT. $9.00 FOR A NEW RELAY AT CHECKER AUTO PARTS.
