How do you shut off brake light on dash on a 1989 Cadillac sedan deville?

Hi , what problem are you having ? There is no such relay on a 89 Cadillac ! Could you possibly mean a ASD relay - auto shut down relay ? That component is used on Chrysler products !

did you use the correct type of Freon for the compressor type?

The switch is located near the brake pedel under the dash. the pedel stem will push on the switch when you step on the brake. Just follow the pedal from the bottom to the top under the dash and you will find it. It should look like this.

Hello, Look up under the dash next to the inside of the car, between the foot pedal for the park brake assembly, on the park brake assembly there should be a short lever, it may even be yellow on the end. pull it back toward you, that should release the park brake. The System is suppose to release automatically when you put the car in gear. It works off vacuum, the switch is mounted on top of the steering column and the actuator is mounted on the park brake assembly

there is a manual release on the park brake assembly I think yellow tip lever. The unit releaases automatic by vaccum, if there is vaccum to the release vaccum solenoid but it doesn't release you need a new solenoid

Clutch maybe seized on the compressor...try unplugging the wire to see if it will disengage, if it doesn't that is probably it.

check your brake fluid seems like you have a hydraulic leak in your brakes and this is why you have to keep pumping the brakes in order to regain pedal stability

What model car? On my Cadillac the problem was the vacuum line to the release valve at the parking brake pedal. The problem can be the vacuum line, the release valve or the vacuum actuator for that release valve. Mine was on the steering column.

you need to take glove box out. It's right behind three three 7mm bolts for the plastic piece that holds it in. two 10 mm nuts that hold it to the plastic piece. Should come right out with a little finessed force.
