Can you tell me if you know, my Jeep' blinkers/horn do not work, one brother says the box needs to be replaced (fuse) the other one says rewire all of it, the other says it is in the steering column. What do you say?

  • Anonymous Sep 22, 2010

    Hi,
Check the fuse's first, if the fuse's are ok then check the power supply and ground to the horn.

Then if they are ok replace the horn, if not ok make sure your get power to the horn relay and that the ground is working when you press the horn button.

The indicators are similar check fuse's, then the flasher relay, and if they are ok check the bulbs and then the indicator switch.

    Hope this helped.

OK...I have a 93 outside...one diagram I have shows an ignition module next to coil...but there is none on mine, (4.0 engine)
Two items to check are crank sensor and cam sensor inside distributor. Test procedure can be found in just about any manual including haynes.
You will need a decent volt/ohm meter to do testing. You can also check codes by turning ignition switch on/off three times, leaving it on the third time. Check engine will flash code #'s (ex: one flash, pause two flashes= the number twelve.then followed by a longer pause then another set of flashes etc.)

SOURCE: Where is the horn relay located on a 95 jeep grand cherokee?

On my 95 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, the horn relay is in a compartment under the glove box. Open the glove box and remove the three screws in the front on the bottom. Take the plastic cover out and you'll see a bank of relays. The horn relay is the one on the far left, closest to you.

SOURCE: Where is the horn relay location for a 1995 Jeep

Hi, the horn relay is located under the glove box base that is secured by several screws. Pull the box covering out and you will see the relay box with 6 relays together ( 3 top row and 3 bottom row). The horn relay is located on the bottom row, all the way left. Or the first one on the left bottom row.

I have a 2005 jeep grand cherokee and horn is on i tried discconecting the battery but as soon as i connect the battery it goes on. what do i need to do, to get to kill the horn?

You will have to disconect the horn assembly.

Most of the time it will be found in front of or behind the front grille, or front bumper......the best idea is to trace where the sound is coming from, locate the horn and disconnect.......

Horn malfunction

Under the hood of your jeep on the passenger side there is the Power Distrubution Center (PDC). Remove the lid and thered will be fuses and relays in there. I could not locate the exact location of the horn reley, but if you start removing them one by one you can find the horn relay. You will know the right one when the horn stops.
