it does not use antifreeze. you will need to buy Dexccol premixed 50/50 coolant. There is no universal coolant, use Dexcool only, it is red. you should never ever add water, only premixed coolant.
the premixed is good to -40 degrees F.
Measure the resistance of each CMP actuator solenoid valve assembly. Resistance should be between 8-12 ohms.
Connect a jumper wire between the CMP actuator low reference circuit at the solenoid and a good ground. Connect a fused jumper wire to the CMP actuator high control circuit at the solenoid. Momentarily touch the fused jumper to B+. Observe the spool valve inside the CMP actuator. The spool valve should move from fully closed to fully opened position.

I have the same issue, just started today. My radio went out, tire light came on... now my keyless entry doesn't work, and it says all 4 tire sensors are not responding. I tried replacing fuse #23 (15A) [audio] fuse inside the car on the pass side, and it immediately pops when I put a new one in.... 2009 g5 with 39k miles. great...
The pontiac G5 has a defect on some of them that need a new ignition switch. I just had to get mine replaced because mine did the exact same thing. If you remove the fuse it will not fix the problem!
