sounds like the fuel pump is going out. next time it won't start have the fuel pressure tested or spray starting fluid into the air intake to see if it starts.
easy real easy.. go out to the local pull a part junk yard.. get a cross ref on your car.. find that car in the yard and tear it apart in the yard so that you can then later be able to do the same thing in your on ride.. all you need for tools is a walmart 30 piece set your good to go.
