What is the Best Battery for Honda Accord V6 2001. What should i look for? grope size and what other things. can i replace it at home? budget under $100. please suggest the Best one. Thank you

Transmission control mod....under passenger floormat/carpet...mine was a pxo28100 731....found a 732 from a 93...it was comp. #10 socket ...4 nuts...remove box just enough to get to tmc...3 nuts and unplug...yes, disconnect battery first...honda wanted 650.00 for a new one with different numbers...replacement, can no longer get the 731...ebay has them for 45.00 on up to 275.00....i paid 21.00....hey,,,for a person on a low budget...used worked for me.Good luck! oh yea----be wary of the pros...$$$$$$....!

Your Honda takes a group 35 battery. It's a common size and any store that sells batteries should have it in stock.

There are two speed sensors. One is on the tranny under the throttle bosy and one is under the tranny.

This is the one under the tranny near the right wheel.The Countershaft speed sensor is the best bet. i replaced this one on a 1995 honda accord with flashing d4 and after replacement it was gone.the part will be about 125 bucks.

Call Autozone and they'll give you a selection based on price and warranty info. At least 675 cranking amps. If you live in a snow state you might want more cranking amps for winter.

Unless the Accord was jump started, creating possible power surge to damage radio, it should not of had any relationship to the radio.

But, just in case, would suggest disconnecting battery for 5 minutes, reconnecting battery, reentering radio code and see what happens.

If that fails, hopefully your under 36k miles or got the Factory extended warranty "Honda Care" Service plan, so take to the Honda Dealership to see what they say.

either have a shop scan it for trouble codes or buy a scanner your self at local parts store have OBDII scanner and find out for your self it could be a number of things.

I HAVE A 93 ACCORD LX AND ACCORDING TO HONDA MINDS COME WITH 6.5" SPEAKERS FOR THE BACK AND TO GET 6X9 IN YOUR GOING TO EITHER GET THE SPACER THE COME WITH THE EX OR YOU OR GOING TO HAVE TO CUT AND THEY DONT RECOMMAND IT CAUSE YOUR TRUNK WONT STAY OPEN AND YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO BEND THE BAR UNDER THE TRUNK. HOPE YHIS WAS HELPFUL.

IT COULD BE COUPLE OF THINGS YOUR FUEL PUMP OR YOUR COIL IN THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP!!

Check the distributor by letting the car run and tug on the wiring and see if the car acts up. Under the thermostat housing is a wiring harness, I've seen coolant drip on the connector of the O2 sensor and cause this problem too. The main relay is the switch you're referring to. It's located under the dash of the driver's side to the left. I've definitely seen these go bad. Use a test light on the hot wire to the fuel pump. Have an assistant turn the key in the "on" position and see if you have power there. Let me know what you found out so I can hopefully give you more things to check out.
