I just learned that there was revised torque specs for this engine. I missed that bulletin

current specs,
89 inch lbs or 7.4 ft lbs.

Best idea is tight and a little bit more.

I need torque specs for bearing caps for 09 Chevy Malibu LTE 2.4

1. Hand start all the camshaft bearing cap bolts.
2. Tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts in sequence to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Loosen the center intake camshaft bearing cap bolts 1, 2 and the center exhaust camshaft bearing cap bolts 3, 4.
4. Retighten the center camshaft bearing cap bolts 1, 2, 3, 4 to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Torque specification for 1995 ford Taurus

4 Cyl Intake manifold bolts to heads = 15 to 23 Ft-lbs
6 Cyl 3.0L Step 1 = 11, step 2 = 21
6 Cyl 3.8L Step 1 = 7, step 2 = 15 & step 3 = 24 Ft-lbs
Tighten the bolts in secuence from center to out, alternating sides (front & rear); reaching the specified torque in several stages. I hope this helps. Take care.

Torque specs for 4.2 6cyl. chevy engine

Here are the Torque specifications:
1. Head bolts - 46 - 50.5 lbs
2. Intake & exhuast manifolds - 13.5 - 20 lbs
3. Flywheel - 41.5 - 47 lbs
4. Clutch cover - 13.5 - 20 lbs

I need the engine torque specs for 99 chevy malibu. like the head bolt torque sequence and rocker bolt torque sequence

99 chevy malibu v6 3.1 engine, head bolt torque is-- 98 through 2001 is step1- 37 foot lbs, step 2- rotate an additional 90 degrees (1/4 turn). the rocker arm bolts are 168-in. lbs.

(step 1 ) the torque specs for the heads are---1998 through 2001 are 37 foot lbs. ( step 2) rotate an additional 90-degrees (1/4 turn). intake manifold bolts ( lower ) step 1-- 62 in-lbs, step 2--115 in-lbs. intake manifold bolts/studs ( upper ) 18 ft-lbs. this is for the 3.1 v-6, have a good day!

I don't think that the specs for the upper intake is 16 ft lbs for 2000 Chevy Malibu. I replaced the intake gaskets and while performing the torque for the upper intake, it broke from the ends where the bolts are tightened.

I did the same thing... I'm not sure if this is accurate. I've broken to of them so far with this information....
