SOURCE: how to change oxygen sensors in 92 buick lesabre

The O2 sensors are located on the exhaust system piping. Either on the manifolds or on the pipes themselves. You will need the vehicle cool, then disconnect the electrical connectors. Do them one at a time. You will need either a special O2 sensor socket or a 17 - 22 mm wrench to remove them. Unscrew them from the pipe and rescrew the new one back in. Then reattach the connectors. Then you can start the car.

SOURCE: Where do I find the MAF sensor on a 1998 Buick

The M.A.S. is in the top of the metal tube between the air filter box and the intake manifold. It will have a wire connected to it and it is held in by 2 screws. This is an easy replacement and should take no more than 5 to 10 minutes, assuming you are taking your time.

How do you unplug the oil level sensor plug on a 1997 Buick 3800 engine

-You mean you want to remove it...?
-If so unplug the wire that connect to and use standard sock to remove it.
-Or if the wire is weld to it and you don't want to damage. You can use combination wrench or oxygen sensor socket to remove it.

Okay, I've replaced my oxygen sensor last week and

if you used a direct fit O2 it should not be giving you the code again unless the wires are touching near the plug, you got a defective sensor.
if you use a universal it may not read properly.

1994 Buick Lesabre Run very smooth when idling After warming up, while drive Car shudders after rpms drop when car shifts into overdrive

My guess is, the mixture is lean. If the oxygen sensor is old, the computer mixes in lots of air. Too much air, a heavy load, a warm engine, and you get missing strokes. At any rate, an oxygen sensor ought to be replaced on general principle after 50K miles. From a parts store, it is about $60. But you can find one online for about $25. It is real easy to replace. You see the oxygen sensor on the exhaust pipe just to the rear of the engine. It looks just like a spark plug with a wire attached. You need a 7/8 inch wrench or metric equivalent or preferably one of those short claws that are like a socket except they grasp from the side and turn with a 3/8 inch socket drive. It will be quite hot unless you let the car sit awhile before attempting to remove it. Since it is in a hot place, use anti-seizing grease when you replace it or you won't get it off next time. Also, bad spark plugs could be causing your problem. But change the oxygen sensor if it hasn't already been done recently.
