I have a C70 2001 2.0. Roof will not click back in. And the warning light is on saying that not closed and making a sound.(drving me mad). Can I take a fuse out to stop the noise. This has never gone wrong previously. Can this be fixed. Roof is is down on onside but not properly on the other. Can this be fixed? and will it cost a lodt to be fixed. Can it be reset or programmed. When I looked at it with my husband. It looks like one of the hindges will not lock in.

Open it back up and check the latch. Make sure it isn't already closed.

there is a gear on the motor they do wear out. try to give it a hand a few times if it makes a crunching sound wile you giving it a hand the the gear is warn out.

you might be lucky and it just needs the cable greasing. in the mecanisme you will find a cable that is twisted and has brushes on it, use spray grease on this from one end to the other best to do both sides as the cable goes round. also grease the catches , then close the window and put to raised position and from inside spray grease into the arms on either side, run the window back and though though the settings a few times an repeat the greasing as you go.

I know that when you lower the top, you have to hold the button up for several seconds after the top is completely lowered in order for the locks to engage. The top motor will still run and when it is finished, you will hear a "ding". to indicate it is fully down. The error will go away and your temp will show up again. I had to call the dealer to find this out.

THERE IS NO MANUAL CRANK, U WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE MOTOR DRIVE AND CLOSE THE TOP, THEN REINSTALL THE MOTOR.

I dont know wether you have managed to solve your problem with the roof yet, but I have tried sorting out a simular problem. First off all if you need to reset the computor in the boot , to do this remove the 7.5 amp back up fuse under the bonnet for approx 10 seconds. before doing this make sure all locks are in the closed possition. Also make sure the roof mechanism is fully down. Once the fuse is back in and the key is in the ignition the car will go into diagnostic mode for the boot and roof.
The easy way to check the roof locks is to open passenger side and see if the car starts to beep if so close the lock and the beeping should stop this shows all is ok. Now do the same on the drivers side.After doing these checks you will need to reset the computer again with removal of the 7.5 amp fuse for 10 seconds.
Its worth checking the 20 amp fuse for the power door locks this fuse is under the dash board.

THERE SHOULD BE A PLUG IN THE COVER FOR THE SUNROOF MOTOR THAT YOU CAN POP OUT & CLOSE MANUALLY WITH A SCREWDRIVER

Yeah you need to hold the button down to close or open the roof, once that light goes off then you can drive!

If hear the clicking noise then motor is good and you need to change sun roof regulator as the cable make misaligned with regulator , you have to change
the regulator...
