Depends on how new the radio is, mine is fairly new and has a wire for "call mute" out of the back. its an optional wire i never used, this wire must have wire tape or something on it to keep it from grounding out. if it does, it will mute the radio like its supposed to. to remove the radio you'll need a set of these http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/LRA_76_001ABP.cfm you can find them at almost any auto parts store

NO help. Truck is too old and very basic. Thanks for responding
Have radio out of the truck now. All connections were good.

yea, being an older one it wouldn't have had the mute wire anyways. without actually looking at it and troubleshooting it myself, its hard to tell what could have caused it.

could be the speaker out put has come loose at back of radio as to have all speakers blow at once is just to much of a coincedence so pop the radio out and check wiring connentors if all ok looks likely the radio is needing replacing

Where is the radio fuse located in a 2002 toyota echo? because my radio will power on, but no sound comes out.

If the radio powers on, the fuse is OK. You probably have a bad output section in the radio.

Radio Turns on no sound

First my 2006 Aveo radio quit so I replaced it. Then about 5 months later 2 out of 4 of my speakers quit. My after market radio dealer patched things so the 2 speakers that still work are able to function. "The fix" is to replace a pair of speakers. I have 1 front and 1 rear speaker blown.

Honda Accord 2002 EX-L (Canadian Model)

I think that the problem is in the connection between the cd-player and the radio antenna on the roof.
