Re: Engine removal v6 santa fe,is it possable to remove...
Once the radiator is out and axles disconnected the only way is up and out.its also easier if you take off the front cross panel in front of the rad.you need to tilt it engine up slightly.....

The camshaft position sensor on the 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L V6 is located on the side of the engine block, just below the ignition coil packs. It is held in place with a single 10mm bolt. To replace it, you must remove the bolt and then unplug the wiring harness. Once the old sensor is removed, replace it with a new one and plug the wiring harness back in. Finally, reinstall the 10mm bolt and tighten it securely.
Depends on which ENGINE you have (three different engines in the 2001 Santa Fe)... I4 (four cylinder), 2.7L (V6) and the 3.5 (V6). Each has different (exact) procedures for replacing the timing belt.
I presume your Santa Fe sports the 3.5 liter V6 engine? If it's got the NUT, it's at the front & there's a nut stud. If it's got the BOLT, it's accessed from the opposite (anterior) side using a long, long extension. If you have a vehicle hoist/lift, you can easily see it. If you're on your back with the vehicle on jack stands, it's much more difficult to see the 14mm bolt between the exhaust flex pipe and heat shield of the exhaust manifold at the right hand side of the engine.
Say you're directly beneath the engine oil pan, move toward the transmission and look upward and forward between the 1:00 and 2:00 oclock positions of the engine (toward the power steering pump) - 14mm bolt
i do my own oil since ive had my 02 santa fe.first remove the black plastic shield under the car.its best to use the perfect size rench to break the oil pan bolt lose. it takes 4.5 quarts for the four cylinder and the v6 3.5L 4.7quarts for 2.7Lv6
Sounds like a defective coolant temperature sensor. You didn't tell us which engine is in your Santa Fe. 2.4 4cylinder, 2.7 V6? or the 3.5 V6?
Without diagnosing this problem myslef, there are several probable causes (first, coolant temp sensor), next could be wiring, ECM, welded contacts in cooling fan relay, short in relay circuit, etc.
Which engine?? V6 or the 2.4I? The V6 CKP is in the engine block near the flywheel side of the engine (behind and lower right of the exhaust manifold nearest the radiator) A 10mm bolt holds it in place. On the 2.4 4cylinder, the sensor is at the front of the engine behind the Timing Belt cover at the crank shaft. To replace it, you have to remove the timing belt, but you also need to know some technical things to reinstall the belt to be sure you are installing it correctly. Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register. You'll then have access to lots of technical info and manuals, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.
I just replaced rotors on my 2003 Santa Fe, There are 2 phillips screws in the rotor that must be removed. There is an auto adjuster on bottom of brakes. That inspection hole is very small! Sometimes you must tap a hammer around the drum to loosen the rust. Hope this helps.
