Simple contact you local Jag dealership and ask them, they will need the VIN No and there is a small charge. Then follow the instructions on http://www.bluejag.co.uk to enter code.

2003 jaguar s type. unplugged the battery to try to rebut the car. now its asking for a code? is that something that would be in the manual that came with the car? is there a universal code?

Hi
The car is looking for you to enter the security (anti-theft) code for the radio.
If power is removed (battery disconnected), radio assumes it has been taken from the car and protects itself by means of security code. You should have a small ( credit card size ) security card with the radio code written on it. The instructions for entering the code is in your owners manual.

First phone your local jag dealer with your vin number
They should be able to locate your code
If this fails go to www.fitaudio.com

I need a code to activate my radio on my 02 jaguar x type

Hello,

I wanted to help you with it, but no one could provide you the exact code for the radio because it is an anti-theft code. Anti-theft is a feature of the radio so that once the radio is removed from the car or if you remove or change the battery of your car, you could never use it unless you have the exact code.

Now, check the glove box of your car and there should be a card that has that code. If you couldn't find it, take the radio out, get the serial number of the radio and contact the dealer or the manufacturer of the car. Give them the serial number and they would provide you the activation code.

Best regards,

My radio in my x type jaguar is asking for a code but will not accept one, instead it just says code on the screen, above this is a bar with what looks like a clock in it

If you are entering the correct code for the car and you are sure that you are pushing the 5th button after entering the code , then the chip in the radio that is responsible for that function is damaged. What you need is to go to an electronic repair shop and ask them to fix it and most probably they will remove that chip for you and after that the radio will work with a 1111 code

Radio not working

call the dealer and ask what's the code for that model of car or stop someone who has a car like this one and ask them do they have their manual.

Reset Radio and setup cell phone capabilities

Your radio has a built in security device which requires a code being entered should the 12 volt power supply become interupted. Normally this specific code is listed in the vehicle handook documentation keep within glove compartment. If not, contact your nearest Jaguar dealer. They have a data base of all Jaguars sold with such info..
