It is NOT a mass airflow sensor issue and they do NOT fail all the time. Please stop spreading misinformation. It is indeed a secondary airflow sensor NOT the mass air flow.sensor. One of them runs about $100 and the other nearly $400. The sensor you are referring to as code p1419 is BMW part number 11-72-1-438-814

My 2008 Trailblazer has OBD-II code P2430. How do I replace the secondary air injection pump?

This code doesn't mean to replace the air pump ,
DTC P2430 : Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Pressure Sensor Circuit
Circuit/System Description
The secondary air injection (AIR) system aids in the reduction of hydrocarbon emissions during a cold start. The system forces fresh filtered air into the exhaust stream in order to accelerate the catalyst operation. An electric air pump, the secondary AIR injection pump, provides filtered air on demand to the AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. The AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly controls the flow of air from the AIR pump to the exhaust manifold. The AIR solenoid relay supplies the current needed to operate the AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. A pressure sensor is used to monitor the air flow from the AIR pump. The engine control module (ECM) supplies the internal pressure sensor with a 5-volt reference, an electrical ground, and a signal circuit.
This is a pressure sensor problem . What this video on testing !

I replaced my head gasket on my 2000 528i BMW. Now that I am finished the car runs great. I didn't have any codes when I started the job but now I have P0412 code and a CEL. Secondary air valve...

Good evening Daniel,
Congrats on replacing the head gasket successfully! In regards to your secondary air system. I would first start with the electrical air pump supply located on the passengers side of the engine compartment. You can locate the supply hose (about 1 1/2 inch diameter) at the front of the exhaust manifold. The hose connects to the secondary air valve. Make sure the hose is connected. Also make sure if there is a vacuum supply line to the secondary air valve, that it is not broken/or disconnected. If the hoses are ok and secure, then remove the larger supply hose from the valve when the engine has not been started for 4-5 hrs and make sure you have air flow from the air pump. The pump should be audible and operate for approximately 30seconds to a minute. If you are still having issues after these checks, I can list other possible causes.
