P0741 "Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid stuck off"
If the PCM detects high torque converter slip when the TCC is commanded ON, then DTC P0741 sets. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Valve (TCC Sol. Valve) Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). The solenoid controls the hydraulic fluid for TCC apply and release. When the TCC is applied, the engine is coupled directly to the transmission through the TCC. The TCC slip speed should be near 0.
Thank you for using Fixya and good luck

P0741 is for the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) stuck OFF

The TCM (PCM) controls the locking and unlocking of the Torque Converter Clutch (or Damper Clutch), to the input shaft of the transmission, by applying hydraulic pressure. The main purpose of T/C clutch control is to save fuel by decreasing the hydraulic load inside the T/C. The TCM (PCM) outputs duty pulses to control the Damper Clutch Control Solenoid Valve (DCCSV) and hydraulic pressure is applied to the DC according to the DCC duty ratio value. When the duty ratio is high, high pressure is applied and the Damper Clutch is locked. The normal operating range of the Damper Clutch Control duty ratio value is from 30% (unlocked) to 85% (locked).

DTC DESCRIPTION
The TCM (PCM) increases the duty ratio to engage the Damper Clutch by monitoring slip rpms (difference value between engine speed and turbine speed). To decrease the slip of the Damper Clutch, the TCM (PCM) increases the duty ratio by applying more hydraulic pressure. When slip rpm does not drop under specification with 100% duty ratio, the TCM (PCM) determines that the Torque Converter Clutch is stuck OFF and sets this code.

You must likely have a torque converter clutch switch burnt out and not releasing the torque converter lock up you would have to replace the solenoid, here is some information about the problem you are having.and will have to go to a transmission place or dealer to diagnose, and repair.the cost on that would depend on the repair needed , if is a solenoid only then it will pay 1.5 hours labor.

Here have several TS Bulletins about this, try to find in ypur dealer for additional details: obd-codes.com/tsb/hyundai

Hope helps (remember comment and rated this).

Code po741 wear is it on a g3 2009 pontiac

The TCC solenoid is inside the transmission. The circuit connector is on the outside and the most common problem is the wires break that lead to the solenoid in the transmission.

What is code po741?

P0741 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off

This means that the lock up Torque Converter is not locking up as it should at highway speed or 35 mph and up (I learned that figure in school for Oldsmobile automobiles).

It can lead to less fuel efficiency.

Hope this helps.

DTC

P1860 and PO741 are both transmission codes. The 1860 is a "Long shift and Max adapt".What this means is,it is a slip code. The vehicle computer monitors all the time how long each shift takes to complete,in 1/10ths of seconds. If the shifts take too long to complete, the computer sees this and sets this code. When the code sets, the computer raises main line pressure inside the trans to compensate, and then the trans shifts hard or engages harder. The 0741 is also trans,it is a torque convertor lockup code.Either way, your trans is going to need a rebuild to solve these issues.Good luck.
