Check your fuel pump, mass air flow sensor, crankshaft sensor, spark plugs, spray starter fluid in your air intake and try starting your car if your car starts then shuts off then your fuel pump is bad if it doesnt start up at all then that means your fuel pump is good and something else is wrong with your car. Fuel pump are some of the mian causes of a car not starting but remember only do this if the car is cranking and not starting if your car is not even trying to start then its your starter.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

2015 ford edge fuel reset is located where

From your owners manual, the shutoff is not a manual button:
Roadside Emergencies
FUEL SHUTOFF
WARNING: If your vehicle has been involved in a crash, have the fuel system checked. Failure to follow this instruction could result in fire, personal injury or *****.
In the event of a moderate to severe collision, this vehicle includes a fuel pump shutoff feature that stops the flow of fuel to the engine. Not every impact will cause a shutoff.
Should your vehicle shut off after a collision, you may restart your vehicle. For vehicles equipped with a key system:
  1. Switch off the ignition.
  2. Switch to start position.
  3. Switch off the ignition.
  4. Switch on the ignition to re-enable the fuel pump.
For vehicles equipped with a push button start system:
  1. Press the START/STOP button to switch off the ignition.
  2. Press the brake pedal and press the START/STOP button to switch on the ignition.
  3. Remove your foot from the brake pedal and press the START/STOP button to switch off the ignition.
  4. You can either attempt to start the engine by pressing the brake pedal and the START/STOP button, or switch on the ignition only by pressing the START/STOP button without pressing the brake pedal. Both ways re-enable the fuel system.
Note: When you try to restart your vehicle after a fuel shutoff, the vehicle makes sure that various systems are safe to restart.Once your vehicle determines that the systems are safe, then the vehicle will allow you to restart.
Note: In the event that your vehicle does not restart after your third attempt, contact an authorized dealer. 2015 Edge Owner's Manual

Jump starting a Buick Lacrosse 2005

Jump starting
If your vehicles battery has run down, you may want to use another vehicle and some jumper cables to start your vehicle.
1.Check the other vehicle. it must have a 12-volt battery with a negative ground system.
2.Get the vehicles close enough so the jumper cables can reach, but be sure the vehicles are not touching each other. If they are, it could cause a ground connection you do not want. You would not be able to start your vehicle, and the bad grounding could damage the electrical systems.
3.Turn off the ignition on both vehicles. Unplug unnecessary accesories pluged into the cigarrete lighter or the accessory power outlets. Turn off the radio and lamps that are not needed. This will avoid sparks and save both batteries. And it could save the radio.
4.Open the hood on the other vehicle and locate positive (+) and the negative (-) terminal locations on that vehicle. You will not use yours vehicles battery for jump starting. It has a remote positive (+) jump starting terminal, located on the underhood fuse block, for that purpose.

What causes an error mssage of: Restart now or key is needed in a Ford Edge.

Driving 4. Start - press the START/STOP button (for any length of time) while applying the brake pedal. Note: The indicator light on the start button will illuminate when the vehicle is in on mode and when the engine is started. There may be areas inside your vehicle where the IA key is not detected. If the message NO KEY DETECTED appears on your message center when you press the START/STOP button, it may be necessary to move your IA key to another area within the vehicle. The IA key may not be detected near the roof (between the driver or passenger sunvisor and the roof, or in the overhead console area) or in the extreme corners of the rear package tray, near your audio speakers. It is not recommended that you stow the IA key in these locations. If you move the IA key to a location where it has been detected before and you still see the NO KEY DETECTED message, your IA key's battery may be low or you may be in an area with excessive radio frequency interference. If this occurs, you can use the back-up method to start your vehicle (see below). Back-up method of starting: Your IA key uses a radio frequency signal to communicate with your vehicle and authorize your vehicle to start when you press the START/STOP button and apply the brake pedal. If excessive radio frequency interference is present in the area, or if the battery in your IA key is low, it may be necessary to start your car by inserting the IA key in the back-up slot, located at the front of the center console storage compartment. Insert the IA key into the slot with buttons facing down and with key ring out. After inserting the IA key into the back-up slot, use the START/STOP button and brake pedal to start your vehicle as usual. The vehicle should respond normally as long as the IA key is in the back-up slot. Once the vehicle is started, the IA key can be removed from the back-up slot, if desired. Fast restart feature: The Fast Restart feature allows you to re-start your vehicle within 20 seconds of switching the vehicle off, if a valid IA key is not present when the vehicle is switched off. When you switch your vehicle off without an IA key in the passenger compartment or 238 2012 Edge (edg) Owners Guide, 1st Printing USA (fus)

Why does my hatch back open during driving

Why do you jump start your vehicle. Jump starting is not recommended on newer vehicles because of the electronic components the new vehicles come with. Did you know that when you jump start newer vehicles, access voltage can be generated from the other vehicle giving the jump, and that access voltage can damage the vehicle getting the jump. The vehicle's computer and/or other electronic components can be damaged. If your computer gets damaged, it will forget how to start. A replacement computer can cost several thousand dollars.

Car wont start, changed ecm, plugs, started but died, what should i do

After you put in the ecu, do the crank relearn, and you're good to go.
Ensure that your battery is fully charged before attempting the relearn procedure. Do not leave any battery charger or jumper cables attached to the battery. Close the hood completely. Some applications require that the doors remain closed during the procedure.

1. Rotate the key to the start position to attempt to start the vehicle (the vehicle will not start).
Allow the key to return to the all position (same as if the vehicle would have started). The theft system light will flash (or stay lit) on the dash for approximately 10 minutes.
2. When the theft system telltale stops flashing (or turns oft) turn the key to the off position for 5 seconds and then attempt tostart the vehicle. The vehicle should start on this cycle.
3. Once the vehicle is running, the password relearn is complete.

6. Once the vehicle is running, the password is learned and this completes the cycle.
7. Clear any DTC's with a scan tool if necessary. DTC history will be cleared after 100 ignition cycles.
