When I press horn on steering wheel all I hear is a relay clicking under dash, Is that a problem in relay or horn?

Your description indicates the horn is at fault. If not, then double check the horn wiring to make sure it's not corroded where it connects. While you have the wires off at the horn, test for voltage having someone else press the horn.

If you have voltage at the horn, then either you don't have a good ground, or the horn is defective. Your relay could also be an issue, but it sounds as if you are hearing the click of the relay when pressing on the horn, relays aren't usually a problem when it comes to horns.

It is located in the SJB - smart junction box an it is a non- serviceable part . soldered to the board inside . Where do you hear the clicking noise coming from ? The SJB is located behind the left side kick panel .

Principles of Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) supplies the control and switched voltage to the horn relay (part of the SJB). When the horn switches (part of the steering wheel) are pressed, ground is supplied through the clockspring to the horn relay. The horn relay is then energized directing voltage to the horn and enabling the horn to sound. When the vehicle security system is armed, the SJB provides a momentary ground to the horn relay control side to indicate the system is armed, and an on and off ground when an intrusion is detected or the panic alarm is activated.
If your horns are not working ,you have a wiring problem or the clock spring is open . If the relay is bad the whole SJB has to be replace an the dealer would have to do that . Needs to be programmed ,with factory tool .

There are tow things other than the gorm that could be bad. The forst (And most likely) is the horn switch located in the steering wheel. These are fragile and easy to break, and not to easy to replace. If you find that the switch is the problem, you would be better served to mount an external horn switch on the dash near the driver. This is legal for inspection in most states (check with your local inspection authority first). The otherr item that could be bad is the horn relay. It is located under dash on the passengers side kickpanel near the glove box. it is mounted in a relay panel there. You should hear it click when preesing the horn switch if the car is quiet enough.

Check the horn itself by running a wire from the positive lead of the battery to the connection spade on the horn. If it works, you may have a bad horn relay or the problem may be in the steering column.
If you have air bags, DO NOT attempt to work on the column unless you exactly follow directions for that found in either haynes or chilton manuals. Otherwise, your air bag may deploy and hurt you.
If the air bag light on the dash is on, chances are that the "clock spring" in the column has failed.

First go to horn, its in the right side (passenger side) very front behind bumper. Turn wheel to the right, remove inner fender well, locate horn. Check to see if you have 12V there when the horn is activated to ensure its not just a horn. If there is 12V and ground and horn doesn't sound, you'll need a new horn. If voltage is good then back track to the horn relay, it should be under the hood electrical center (some earlier models were under the dash below steering wheel. If you press on the horn in the steering wheel, you should hear it click to locate. If not check the black wire going up the steering column, when jumpered to ground and horn sounds then the problem is inside the steering wheel, horn ring or contacts on the pad are faulty.

simple circuit, but can be hard if problem is switch in steering wheel. First check fuse and relay at fuse box. relay should click when horn button on wheel is pushed. If relay doesn't click, either button or relay is bad. If relay clicks, test for voltage at horn. You can use a simple test light available at the auto parts store if you don't have a voltmeter. If there is voltage at the horn, replace horn.
If relay does not click, replace relay to see if that fixes your problem. If new relay doesn't fix, you have a bad switch in the steering wheel or possibly bad wiring. cannot help you with switch as it's different on every car. any questions--let me know.

this is not a horn relay issue. In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament, the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. it is behind bumper drivers side. I believe there is a relay in the horn, making the horn unique and origional replacement required. if it has three wires in it then it has built in relay.

you need to Check the Wire inside the Steering wheel, When Grounded by pressing horn button the relay will send the 12 volts to Horn,

You Also could and Please Re-check the Color of wire for the Horn SHOULD be a Black Wire in the wire loom Under the Dash on the Column and If you Ground down the Black wire from Under the dash, You would Find out If it is In fact the Steering wheel it self,

you could also add a Second Button on the Dashboard
