If you think that you might have a failed engine bearing, or other component, A simple way to check is to cut the oil filter open, and look at it's contents.

If metal particles are present, drain your oil into a clean pan, and check it out too.

A magnet will pick up any ferrous metals.

Be careful cutting oil filters.
I use a chop saw, but you could also use a vise and hack saw.

1994 toyoata hilux 22r engine wont idle it stalls an when put in drive it stalls too engine shakes an sounds like its got a miss done sparkplugs leds an distributor an info to help wot may be plz ?

Try spark plug wires.. Pull off one spark plug wire at a time to see which cylinder is not firing. When you find one not firing change the wire to another plug.. both ends dist and plug end. If problems travels to new location the plug wire is at fault. if it does not travel there is something wrong with that cylinder. Could be something as simple as a fuel filter. R22 is one of the best engines ever.

Need a wiring diagram for spark plugs for a 1995 jeep Cherokee sport

V6 engine: firing order: 1 2 3 4 5 6, distributor rotates clockwise. Left bank of engine (driver's side), cylinders 2, 4, 6 (#2 at front of engine). Right bank: 1, 3, 5 (#1 at front of engine).
Inline 6 engine: firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. Distributor rotates clockwise.
The number one tower on the dist. cap should have a mark or numeral 1 on it. If not, turn crankshaft to top dead center of compression stroke on number one cylinder, the 0 degrees or "T" mark on the crank pulley pointer. If you are on the compression stroke (not the exhaust stroke), the rotor under the dist. cap will be pointing to the number one cylinder spark plug wire tower.

Why does my motor ping when under load i changed knock senser

Generally a Pinging noise isn't due to a knock sensor. It sounds like you may have Detonation issues.

I'd really check your spark plugs to make sure they are not fouled as well as running some higher octane gas to see if it helps.

basically, your getting combustion earlier then you're supposed to. This could be to various reasons.

Check in this order, Spark, Timing.

Check to make sure the spark plugs are all sparking and clean / properly gaped. Pull one coil/wire at a time off the plug to see if the pinging stop (pull a wire, start the car. Turn off car, re-attach wire, move onto next plug.) If it stops on a specific cylinder that means you're having detonation issues on that cylinder. If it never stops, then it sounds as though it could be timing related or have a valve train issue.

We'll start here and move on. Let me know what comes of this!

I changed my dist. cap on 1990 chevy p/u took one

Is the coil connected to the ditributor? did you knock any connections off in the process? Does it turn over but not fire? do you have spark at the plugs? Are you sure of cylinder location in respect to firing order? Did you-and check this first as with any elec. problems-blow a fuse in the ignition circuit? good luck!
