If you think that you might have a failed engine bearing, or other component, A simple way to check is to cut the oil filter open, and look at it's contents.
If metal particles are present, drain your oil into a clean pan, and check it out too.
A magnet will pick up any ferrous metals.
Be careful cutting oil filters.
I use a chop saw, but you could also use a vise and hack saw.
Sounds like a wrist pin or bearing problem on that cylinder.Take a comp test on that cyl,running and just cranking.Is it missing or just knocking
