The a/c light blinks while the compressor tries to engage. I have changed the green wire to the 5 slot from the 1 slot like the chevy bulletin said, but there is no difference.

There's a problem with the circuit that powers the compressor, but where it is I can't tell you.

Maybe you should take it to an auto electric repair shop to chase the wiring and to make sure there are no breaks in the circuit leading to the compressor when it calls for a/c compressor engagement.

97 chevy suburban AC clutch won't engage pressures

Looks like the low pressure switch gets power from a 10amp ac fuse. Power then goes to the ac relay which is powered on by the ac heat controller on the dash. Power then goes thru the high pressure switch to the compressor. The ac relay is grounded to the body. Do you have power on the lite and dark green wires going into the relay and is it grounded ?

Air conditioning system freon

You'll need to have a mechanic check the system to see if it is low on freon, or if you have an electrical problem.

I have a 2004 Chevy trail blazer and the a/c max button will push in but the light doesn't come on and it still blows hot air

if the light doesnt come on the compressor is not engaging the clutch. possible wiring problem. check a/c clutch relay. may be faulty compressor or the system may be completely empty of refrigerant

My 2001 Chevy Blazer keeps popping the fuse for the heater. What could be causing that?

Hello! One of three reasons that fuse is blowing...#1...Defective A/C compressor clutch relay...#2 ...Defective A/C compressor clutch...and #3...There is a diode across the compressor clutch that may be shorted...Lets narrow it down...If you do not have a meter just disconnect the compressor and see if a fuse will hold...If it does the problem is the clutch or diode...If you do you have a digital multimeter and a wee bit of experience using it...disconnect the plug from the A/C compressor...Wire colors are Dark Green and Black...Read across the compressor clutch (where the connector was seated)...You should read 4 to 5 ohms...on the X1 scale...If you read zero ohms the clutch is bad...I believe the diode is in the plug end Read from the Dark Green wire to bare metal chassis ground...You should read open...send results...Saailer

AC Compressor not engaging on 2000 Chevy Impala. Fuses and AC relay okay. No power at compressor. Need wiring diagram. Also need to know if compressor requires 12v for operation. If not what should voltage...

When your R-134a runs too low it will NOT engage the compressor. You need to refill your a/c system before the clutch will engage, I also suggest finding the leak.

When I engage my crv into drive the D on the dashboard that is lit up green is blinking, what's up with that?!

It is the transmission version of a check engine light. Have a mechanic run the codes. Chances are the fluid may need changed, although that is not the only possible issue. If it is still working ok there is still time to have the issue resolved.

Chevy S10 Tail Light issue

CHEVY S-10 TAIL LIGHTS PROBLEM RESOLVED...It seems Chevy engineered a ground shorting clip located under the left rear bumper area. It looks like a connector for trailer wiring harness, but in actuallity is a metal shorting clip which ties 5 wires together. They are all the ground wires for the tail lights. Then one single small wire runs to ground completeing the circuit. Problem is that this one wire is not tough enough to be a strain relief for the grounding plug and over time the ground wire wears, leaving intermittent lighting problems. FIX IS TO SPLICE THE GROUND WIRE INTO ONE OF THE FIVE OTHER WIRES AND USE PLASTIC TY WRAP FOR STRAIN RELIEF. This fixes no tail lights, intermittent rear signals, and other significant problems. I just got done making this same repair on a 2000 s-10 and everything works fine. Since it is the strain on the single ground wire connected to the connector that leads to failure, it is best to tie a new ground or clip the ground wire coming out of the plug and resplice it into one of the other five wires. Does not matter which one since electrically it makes no difference; they are all gound wires. BUT only one wire completes the connection and that is the problem. Really good engineering Chevy! The location is under left rear of bed in wiring harness right before the split. The connector is blue or green. Take the cover off to see the metal shorting clip. Also note the ground wire coming out of the plug/connector and runs about 8 inches to frame. If this is not hooked up you will have tail light issues. Map sensor wiring for Chevy s-10

Well after looking it up it's the the map input wire is light green on both 4 and 6 cylinder models.

On a 4cyl the map has black gray and light green, the black is ground, the gray is a 5 volt refrence from the pcm(power control module), and the light green goes to to ECU for MAP input.

On a 6cyl the map has black gray and light green, the black is goes to the automatic transmission, gray is a 5 volt refrence from the pcm(power control module), and the light green goes to to ECU for MAP input.

Hope this helps and good luck
