Where is the internal fuse box for the 05 dodge grand caravan for the radio

it is in the fuse box. however some models come with an inline fuse that you can't get to unless you pull the radio out of the dash

your going to have to change it, the smell you smelled was the electrical components in the radio frying.

It's under the hood in the fuse box. It's a 20 AMP Fuse, says RDO /IGN. It's on the top center left. Hope this helps!

sounds like a bad radio that shouldnt happen bttery has no effect on changer opperation if the radio powers up the changer should work as long as its a factory radio w an internal six disc changer.

It is in the accessory circuit. '06 you should still have the owners manual laying in the glove box or under the frt pass seat. If not, look on the inside of the fuse box cover for the fuse layout.

There are two fuse boxes in your car; one is under the dash on the driver's side and the other is under the hood. The likely box is the one under the dash inside the car, as it handles most accessory fuses. You can buy a fuse tester for a few bucks at the auto parts store that will help you identify any bad fuse without ever removing it. Also, most radios have internal circuit breakers which need to be reset. These are located on the housing of the radio itself. If you are fortunate, it will be on the back of it.

Here is a post I found that worked for my 2005 caravan.

For a 2001 Dodge Caravan: The owner's manual is vague, only stating that all fuses are under the hood in the fuse box, no diagrams. Once you have removed the fusebox cover, the diagrams for what each fuse does is provided under the lid. UNCLEARLY marked is the radio fuse, a 20amp fuse located 2nd row from top to the right of the accessory relay. It is marked: RDO/IP IGN.
