The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located:Under hood, driver side, rear engine area, mounted top rear of engine .click here and enlarge picture,it's number 9,send picture to your library and you can enlarge even more. Here's the part. Here's how to remove.
it
should be found at the end of one of the radiator hoses towards the
engine. If you are referring to the thermostat aircon it should be
under the dashboard towards the passenger side.
Where the top radiator hose attaches to the engine, there should be 2 or 3 bolts to remove to take the hose connection off the engine. The thermostat goes in between the hose connection and the engine. If there isn't a thermostat there then I would guess that it was removed and driven without a thermostat.

Hello Wayne...the thermostat on your truck is located on the engine under the thermostat houseing. It is positioned in a fairly tight place. It can be replace with regular hand tools, ratchet extension, swivel socket and wrench. Follow the radiator hose to the thermostat houseing to locate. I suggest you replace it with a Nissan thermostat, they seem to last longer than an aftermarket, and come with a new houseing. Enclosed is a picture of the houseing you will be removing. Make CERTAIN you install the new thermostat in the correct position...if installed backwards it will NEVER open and your engine will overheat in minutes possibly causeing severe damage. Good luck..i hope this helps, please take time to rate me a fixya.
Find the big hose that comes out of the top of the radiator and follow
it to the engine and that is where the thermostat is located. My
advice is to be sure to get a factory thermostat and rubber gasket as
it makes installation much easier. I have done it both ways and the
factory one is easier to install.
