The ECU doesn't have anything to do with lights, windows or blower on your vehicle. Fuse or burned ground wire in those circuits if far more likely. Get a wiring diagram and find the common /fuseswires to those circuits.

Go to autozone.com and register they have good wiring diagrams for your truck. What I saw was all the relays going to ground so you should have 12V coming off the ignition switch.

SOURCE: 2000 ford windstar... electrical mess!!

I had the same problem with my 2000 Ford Windstar. After many trips to different mechanics, I had one the found the problem. Hopefully this will help.

There is a relay attached to the braking system. This relay is used to turn off the cruise control when putting on the brakes. It is actuated with the break fluid. The relay leaks brake fluid and the break fluid shorts out Fuse # 10 causing a hole array of othe problems as you well know. The relay is a know defect on other Ford Vehicles it has not yet been categorized as a recall on the Windstar however.

I hope this helps...

Good luck

Headlights do not work. Beam works, park lights and other lights work. Bulbs ok

more than likely a fuse or a relay is bad. locate the fuse for the headlights (owners manual) and check if it is bad, if the fuse is good, find the relay and give it a flick or two and try the headlights then, if they work, its time for a new relay

Ford focus 2003

well, check the fuse/relay then you will need to remove the control panel to access the switch then check the switch its self in all positions with a volt meter. if none of those things have found the prob then you prob have a bad blower motor. most likely its a fuse/relay usualy or a switch. when a motor goes it usually will still blow on high. if its out completely it ususaully smells like burnt tape.dont worry its prob something simple and cheap, ie fuse/relay.
