Please describe your reverse lights not working ford focus zx5 problem: "reverse lights not working" they stopped coming on in the last week when engine engaged in reverse. Manual transmission. The only other electrical issue noted that at this time is that the cruise control is no longer working either. It did work approximately 4 weeks ago. Do they happen to be on the same circuit/fuse?

I have a 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 and when driving and picking up speed it has a loud humming sound coming from under the floor board wheel bearings seem okay. Any ideas on what else could be wrong?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

Wheel bearing are the most likely. If you just jack up the car, you will feel movement or roughness. The other possibility is the transmission. check the oil level or ATF level.

Ideas here, also mechanics have magnetic microphone kits to pinpoint noise.

2004 Ford Focus ZX5 - car skips beats/rhythm while idling. Random w/ no set pattern.

can be a few ideas: check plug wires, misfiring, check the plug, if you dont have plugs, than check the [ where the plug should be]
it could be the timing belt slipping, in the 1970 we had timing chains that would last for every, but some one got idea is to put a belt in so at 60-70 thousand miles you need to replace timing belt.

Ford Focus ZX5 - Rear brake lights stay on when car is running and in gear

Hi, you have suffered a major electrical short here, and the car is telling you via the light signals that you need to take care of this in a garage. The original short burnt cables, which is why there is visible signs of melting, smell etc. I know it will involve a cost, but consider the value of your life if the car was to go on fire with you or your family in it? Another short will cause such a fire, get to a garage soon!

Ford Focus ZX5 - Rear brake lights stay on when car is running and in gear

You are the MAN, Just like you said TRocky, there was a short in the center brake light wiring. Found the short in the rubber boot that connects from the lift gate to the car. Inside that rubber boot the wires were cracked and some were shorting.Repaired the wiring and everything is back to normal.
