If its an orange-yellow light ,you wont have abs operation,but will still have traditional brakes,but if its a red light ,you might want to take it in,

It is safe to drive. You need a scan tool to get a code out of it. Could be as simple as a wheel speed sensor going bad. All of these lights will work together normally. The traction control uses the ABS to gain traction, and the Brake Assist System is part of the stability control. Also uses the ABS.
Final drive speed sensor causing Trac light and rough shifting. Metal dust on the sensor. Have the transmission filter and fluid serviced. This should have been done at 60,000 miles. You may get an ABS light too. Service the sensor. Perform an OBDII scan for stored faults.
THE MOST LIKELY PROBLEM IS THAT A WHEEL SPEED SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE, BUT THERE ARE FOUR, IN ORDER TO DETERMINE WHICH ONE IS DEFECTIVE YOU WILL NEED THE DEALER TO TEST THE ABS SYSTEM FOR TROUBLE CODES.
