2005 dodge grand caravan...engine light on and off, went to autozone diagnostic. replaced upstream 02, last year replaced downstream...engine light came back on. need help!

When "check engine" litgh tun on, the PCM (computer) is warning that some fault code is stored there. Autozone could scanned your PCM and show exactly what fault codes is there; if your O2 sensors was replaced, I assuming that they can see this codes... so, they reset and delete all codes stored there? Scanned the PCM after this change?

1996 dodge dakota black smoke, engine running horrible getting P0171 code?

It sounds like your engine is running very rich yet the computer thinks it's lean. P0171 is a lean code for bank 1 (the side of the engine with cylinder #1) Pretty much the only causes could be a large exhaust leak, bad o2 sensor or bad computer. Is the p0171 the only code?

My check engine on 2001 grand caravan went on before emmission test but went off after a day, but i failed the test. Driving from the test it went on again. Mechanic checked the code and gave me...

you need to have your computer cleared of all errors after the problem has being resolved. this can only be done with a scan tool. until this is done ur car may still run poorley

I could be wrong but it sounds like you need to put some attention towards the cat and the O2 sensors.
