SOURCE: insterment panel light out.

When you say you replace the fuse 3 times, is because the fuse have blown? If so, there is a short in the system and will need expert help to trace the short.
Does the day time running light stay on during day light hours and does the lights comes on without activating the headlight switch during night hours when the park brake is released?
If so, this of course is normal condition. If not then the day time running light circuit needs diagnosing along with the body module circuit. Headlight switch will also need to be tested.

SOURCE: Failure of instrument cluster & console lighting

If you are moving the dimmer switch and the lights are not getting brighter and dimmer, it is definatly the dimmer switch. I actually keep a known good one in my toolbox at work, seen it a couple times.

SOURCE: why do only half the cluster lights work and the

this is most likely a short in your electrical system, on a newer Honda it can get expensive, i recommend taking your car to a foreign car doctor and have them analyze the problem

2003 Ford F-250. I have the diagram for the fuse panel but I still can't figure out which god danm fuse controls my dash lights and which friken fuse is my tail lights.

F17 exterior lights. Check that. If that's good check voltage to your rear lights aslso f35 and f41 for your instrument cluster but if your instrument cluster is working but not your instrument cluster lights I would assume your cluster lis just bad unless you have an adjustable dimming switch for your cluster which is usually the one the headlight switch. You can take out the switch and see if you have voltage coming out of the dimmer circuit to your cluster

Dashboard lights stopped working i checked all the fuses its a 2007 lincoln mark lt

All of these are not working ? Instrument Cluster and Panel Illumination The non-dimmable lighting system illuminates the following components:
  • Roof opening panel control switch
  • Window control switches
  • Door lock control switches
  • Sliding backlite window control switch
The dimmable panel lighting system illuminates the following components:
  • Adjustable pedal switch
  • Manual climate control assembly
  • Electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) assembly
  • Headlamp switch
  • Instrument cluster
  • Message center switch
  • Audio unit
  • Steering wheel audio and climate control switches
  • Speed control switches
  • Digital versatile disc (DVD) player
  • Floor shifter
  • Parking aid switch
  • Four wheel drive (4WD) switch
  • Traction control switch
The instrument panel dimmer switch is a contact switch that signals the desired level of brightness sent to the instrument cluster and dimmable components.
You checked all the fuse's ?
  1. Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
    • Headlamp switch
    • Central junction box (CJB) fuse(s):
      • 6 (15A)
      • 22 (10A)
    • CJB circuit breaker 401 (30A)
    • Auxiliary relay box 1 fuse 1 (5A)
    • Circuitry
    • Headlamp switch
    • Instrument panel dimmer switch
    • Clockspring
    • Illumination source(s)
    • CJB
Did you check these fuse's in the central junction box and
  • Auxiliary relay box 1 fuse 1 (5A) You don't need to check them all ,just the right one's . How did you check them ? pull them out an look ?
  • Principles of Operation
Dimmable Illumination With the parking lamps ON, voltage is supplied to the instrument panel dimmer switch (part of the headlamp switch). The instrument panel dimmer switch then sends a variable pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage to the instrument cluster and other dimmable switches and components.
Fixed Illumination With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the delay accessory relay provides voltage to the non-dimmable switches. The delay accessory relay is controlled through the instrument cluster.

Turn signal flasher on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car

Doesn't have a turn signal flasher , use's lighting control module .
Turn Signal and Hazard Lamps The turn signal system consists of:
  • turn signal miniature bulbs (13465).
  • turn signal indicators in the instrument cluster (10849).
  • lighting control module.
  • multi-function switch (13K359).
  • circuit wiring and circuit protection.
Power is supplied to the lighting control module through instrument panel Fuse 6 (10A). This fuse is hot in START or RUN. The lighting control module is connected to the turn signal switch portion of the multi-function switch. Ground is provided to the lighting control module and the turn signal miniature bulbs through Circuit 57 (BK).
Turn signal functions are performed by double filament bulbs in lamp assemblies located next to the headlamps. The turn/hazard function uses the second filament of the appropriate bulb(s).
  • With the multi-function switch in the right turn position, power is supplied to the RH front and rear turn signal miniature bulbs and the right turn indicator in the instrument cluster.
  • With the multi-function switch in the left turn position, power is supplied to the LH front and rear turn signal miniature bulbs and the left turn indicator in the instrument cluster.

I have 03 Chevy tracker and tail light , dash light won't come on. I checked fuses. Is there any thing else I can check ?

Turn the parking lamps or headlamps on in order to illuminate the instrument panel and instrument panel cluster lamps. Voltage applies at all times through the TAIL fuse to the tail relay. Turning the turn signal/headlamp switch to the PARK or the HEAD position provides a ground path to the coil side of the relay to G202. The ground path energizes the coil of the relay. This closes the contacts in the relay. The closed contacts apply voltage to the IP dimmer illumination controller and all the illumination lamps. The illumination lamps are ground through the illumination controller. The controller is located on the left side of the instrument panel. Since the illumination controller is ground to G200, the lamps illuminate when voltage applies. The intensity of the instrument panel and the instrument panel cluster lamps is adjusted by the controller (4). The controller controls the intensity of the lamps by controlling the amount of current from the lamps to ground.Check the tail relay !

'95 Lincoln town car. Husband was driving uphill and the digital dash suddenly went dark. Radio is working and a/c is not. Exterior light still working and so are interior lights besides the dash

Could be a bad wire possibly chaffing or grounding out to to another wire or frame. Check your fuses. You may want to pull the dash out and check that wiring as well

I have a 2002 Saturn sc2 coupe, none of the interior instrument cluster/dash lights work. I am havinf a heck of a time finding a fuse box diagram, which fuse controls those lights? The panel doesn't h

The fuse panel is on the side of the dash where the drivers door opens up. The cover is right there. The diagram is on the back of the fuse panel cover. It will say cluster or dash Lts. If fuse is good try turning dimmer dial on left side of dash, it may be turned down just below gas guage
