The idle relearn needs reset. Keep your foot on the gas at about 900 rpm. Make it idle for about 5-6 minutes. Slowly ease up on the gas until it will idle on it's own, it might take a while. After you get it to idle, it might be idling real low, but on its own, Let it sit and idle until for 20 minutes. After that it should be back to normal. You will have to do this every time you have the battery unhooked for a while.

My Jeep won't stay running when you turn it on unless you keep your foot on the gas pedal what would cause that would it have anything to do with the altinator

I had the same problem with my 96 Dodge Ram, it would crank up but if you let off the gas it would die. It needs a map sensor!!

2002 jeep grand cherokee with 4.0 engine will die but restart

I do not know what the error codes mean but know that When I has the sme problem with my jeep it was the fuel pump. What happens is when it heats up it es less and less fuel and chokes the engine. When cold it runs better. remember gas in the tank helps cool the pump but sounds like your pump needs replacing as it is starting to give out.

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee won't start.

The crank and cam sensor's are very common problems on these jeeps. Check them or have someone check them with a scanner. one or both are most likley the problem.

2000 jeep grand V8 low idle then dies

A faulty gas cap can cause the sensor to come on.
Clean out the throttle body with a cleaner and see if the idle improves.
