Driver power seat not working correctly . 1997 Chevy Tahoe. Driver seat will go up and down and starts to go back but stops and doesn't go forward make a zzzzzzzzzzznoise. Worked fine yesterday today it does this. help???

danny, you will need to see if there is a problem in the wiring harness. since you already checked the fuse i would rcommend that you try using a current tester while pressing the power seat button to check the forward/back wire. if there's current then you may have motor trouble and will need to check the up/down wire next. be sure you are following the correct wires when testing.

more than likely it is the power seat switch itself try pushing on theforward button really hard onc and if it now moves get a new switch

in the middle of the seat cushions in the back of the seat there is a little loop, pull that loop forward and that will have the seat's bottom pulled down to the floor agains the back of the front seats. Next simply apply a lil muscle to the back of the back seats and the seats should fold down nicely into the open space. Be sure to remove the headrests so the seat will fold all the way down. post any issues u may have.

U most certainly have a defective switch, really nothing else can account for this problem.

as long as nothing is stuck in track and you hear no noise when using switches, look for broken wire at connector or in harness. ck fuse first of course, if blown, something may be stuck in track causing it to stop and blowing fuse
