My '05 Dodge Caravan is having power door lock problems. Presently they do not function. Any thoughts?

Under the hood on the drivers side is a fuse panel. Remove the top and locate the IOD fuse. Remove the fuse and look to make sure it's not blown. If it's ok simply replace it and locks should return to normal.
If the fuse is blown you will need another 10 amp mini fuse to replace it.

I also have a 2005 caravan and had the same problem. In my case when i tried to unlock doors the only thing unlocking was the trunk! same when i locked it. I did try removing the IOD fuse and it did fix the problem, but only for a short time until the problem started again! 8/4/2010 iI took my van in to the dealership and the guy said it was a known problem with our van and said all he has to do is "FLASH THE BODY CONTROL MODULE" cost me $50. bucks!! and the problem is gone! Good luck

Power door lock on driver side has stop working
The problem is most likely the switch/plunger .
You will need to take off the door panel and look inside, with an electrical tester, and see what has failed.
The switch/plungers are quite cheaply made, and fail often.

What controls the vehicle R/S functions, i.e windows and side door?
A electronic control module . passenger door module . I would check for a broke wire inside the flex boot from the body to passenger door .

Dodge caravan sliding passenger door will not repond
There are contacts in the door jam, first check and clean these contacts. If they seem fine, and you have a way to check for power on these, test and make sure they supply voltage with a volt/ohm meter. If you are getting power through the contacts, that only leaves the lock actuator itself as being faulty.

Power locks do not work- where are the fuses inside the the van
The problem is the BCM. The fix is a software update. Resetting the computer by removing and then replacing the 20 amp fuse marked 10D in the fuse box under the hood next to the battery is a temporary fix.

my manual says, 1 close doors, 2 place key in ignition & turn key between off and on position for a total of 4 times ending in the off position (do not start engine), 3 press driver side door lock button to lock doors, 4 you will hear chime when programming is completed
