My 2000 buick regal keeps dying out there is power but it will not turn over it has been looked at twice and both mechanics say there is nothing wrong with the battery starter alternator or that there is no draw from the battery while it is off. It will run for a week at a time and then give us trouble again. What else could cause this problem???

When trying to start the engine and the starting motor will not turn over, do the lights dim? If so, there may be damage to the ring gear or the starting motor gear, or misalignment of the starting motor, causing these gears not to engage properly and jamming. If not, then you may have a wiring, fuse or relay problem.

SOURCE: Buick Regal dying

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.

SOURCE: i have a 1999 buick regal ls dying.

I found the problem. It was the crank position sensor. There was also a cracked vacuum hose connecting to the diaphragm on the fuel rail. Replaced both and my 92 Buick no longer dies. For the guy who's Buick was dying when using the turn signals - replace the crank position sensor. One of my symptoms of my Buick dying was when I used my turn signals. Use of turn signals places a varying load on the electrical system which messes up the crank posistion sensor if it is going bad.

SOURCE: Low voltage, the battery runs low when running the car

What is the voltage you are reading? Is it below 13.2 or so? Also have you checked the current with the engine off to see if something else is working that should not be on. I ran across this twice while working on a truck and car. A relay that was wore out keep trying to close and would drain the battery every couple of months. Sometimes you can hear them clicking or buzzing. Touching them sometimes they are warm or real hot. But that is not a sure sign it is bad. In my Trailblaze they get hot but are ok. Another thougth is the belt on your alt, correctly set to spin it at the right voltage. I have ran across this many times lately with serpatine belts.

SOURCE: 2000 buick regal lse 3.8 wont start or turn over

several things to check out:

get it started and go have the battery, alternator, and voltage regulator tested. No charge at most parts stores.

IF they all test ok then you will need to remove the starter and have it tested. The solenoid could be bad. Was it wet outside the day it wouldnt start? if so then oisture is probably getting into the solenoid.

How do i fix the transmission in my 2000 buick regal gs supercharged

What is the problem you are having? Transmissions are complex, especially automatics. So if you are asking this question then, I would recommend taking it to a trusted ASE certified mechanic.

2000 buick regal is stalling with no check engine light

First, I think you have been going to the wrong mechanic if he is going to charge you $500 to diagnose a simple stalling problem.

Second, just because the check engine light is not on, does not mean that there are no fault codes stored in your computer. Some codes only turn the check engine light on if the problem is present at the time that you have the engine running. Other codes do not turn the check engine light on at all, but will usually store "Freeze Frame Data" to allow a technician to see what the operating conditions were when the code set.
So it would still be advisable to scan your engine computer for possible codes.
With all that said, your Regal is equipped with a 3.8L engine. Those things are notorious for the crankshaft position sensors going bad and not setting any codes.

They are also known for the ignition control modules going bad and causing a no-spark condition. When this happens it will usually set a code for EST Spark Timing (which may or may not turn the check engine light on).

Signal bulb on 2003 buick regal

To change front turn signal –
open the hood; look in back of headlight; two white clips; pull straight up, and then whole headlight comes out including turn signal; it is all one unit; remove rubber cover, then you take bulb out of unit. Mechanism that bulb fits in will need to be turned clockwise (looking from the front) and pulled to get it out of the larger unit holding all lights. Be sure and put rubber cover back on before re-inserting the two white clips.

Power Steering Fluid???

The power steering pump is located under the alternator near the firewall. It is hard to get to so you most likely need a funnel with a flex pipe to reach it without making a huge mess. I hope this is helpful.

2000 buick regal hard to start

if this car is been sitting, the battery might be low or dead, but if not,
then,
you know your question confuse me a little be, because if your car won't turn, that has nothing to do with the filter, but if the car crank but wont start then it migh be a bad fuel pump, the way to fin that is, by aplying some flamable brake or carburetor cleaner to the intake, then if the car starts or try to, most likelly your fuel pump is gone.
