Hello, my 2004 x5 3.0d runs lumby on idle (not always). Went to the dealer for reading out. All the 6 injectors runs instable, he told me to replace the 6 injectors after he putted injectorcleaner in my fueltank. I can't believe that the 6 injectors are broken at the same time. What do i have to chek? greetings

It's a diesel and i've checked the air mass sensor but he's ok. The problem is that he don't have it all the time.

You are right. 6 injectors don't go out all at once. Run the car until the tank is damn near dry. Refill the tank and take for a good test drive. If it still is kind of unstable at idle, you might be looking at replacing the Mass Air Flow sensor. Let me know how it turns out.

I apologize, I didn't realize you have a euro version. What I would do is check tappet lash. On Mercedes, it can cause lack of power, poor fuel economy, and a poor idle. Let me know what you find and I will advise further.

Is this a common rail diesel engine ??

well is it a diesel or petrol?? either way it seems odd that all six injectors have played up at once regardless.i would look at the ECU?? or at least think about it

if this vehicle is built for the europeon market then you cannot read the software ,its encrypted and will not pass the american emmision test as the OBDII cannot be read by the testers ,now as for the fault then all six injectors duff -- i dont think so ,look at them and one of them is the master that leads the others ,iam sure its number 6 but it could be no 5 ,bit out of my league here as i havent worked on one as YET but if i could get my nose under the bonnet i would soon work in out.I think this garage you went too the mechanic is only used to working on oversize gas guzzling CO2 poluting petrol engines and doesnt have any idea on how a proper machine thats built by my teutonic cousins across the non existant border should perform,.Still think the ECU is playing up or a sensor thats controling it ,try the bosch diesel specialist and see what they say ,well you do know what they say about the ideal car ,italian body design, froggy interior design , german engineering and english mechanics then you have a world beater

1kd Toyota hiace p0200 code. find anything what it could be

no year HiAce told. why make this so hard?
that 200 code means
Injector open error, the wiring connection
  • Injector coil is bad. measures too high OHMs (DMM meter)
  • injector wires bad ECU to injector. (or the connector) 2 wires!
  • or bad ECU (the injector driver electronics is here)
1,2,3, its one of those 3. it tells you this. in the service manual.
seems you are at 2 and 3.
if wires are good you land at 3. ECU
1,2,3!
to be more accurate learn to read the service manual
and see the schematic first
some cars have an injector drivers box. (firewalled:) or has injector resistor block . read the manual first. then leap, and save a bundle of grief, cash and down time.
I have no such manual here USA, this car.
secret year truck makes helping, near impossible.
2000 year up I guess?? is this the REAL name?
1KD-FTV is a 3.0 L (2,982 cc) straight-four common rail D-4D (Direct injection four-stroke common-rail Diesel) diesel engine with a variable nozzle turbocharger (VNT)

D-4d injectors are not simple . 1,350 bar (19,600 psi)!!!!
you must not just throw in injectors news.
they must be programmed (and not using wrong injectors)!!!!

When to Program This operation must be carried out if:
  • One or more injectors have been replaced.
  • The DCU has been replaced (a new DCU must always be reprogrammed with the codes for all the injectors).
Note: Every injector has its own individual correction code. The code has 30 characters printed on top of the injector. If the correction code programmed in the engine DCU is incorrect for the injector, the engine may stall and run very badly at idle. The engine may also break down and have a reduced service life.
toyota says to replace them all in sets. and reprogrammed
so injector balance happens.
dealers charge $3000 for that

My other 04 jeep spec. edit. 4.0L has an open circuit on #6 injector how do I test for voltage and ground on the plug.. Thanks Ray

the ECM already is working the injector
check injector harness connections and the connections at the
EC M
you can try substituting the ECM with a known good unit as a last resort to prove a point

Fix obd-II code p0304/p0300

You need to run a compression check on the engine, no cylinder should show a pressure reading of more than 5% lower than the highest reading observed on any cylinder. Also have you verified number four cylinder is actually getting fuel injector activation, hook up a 12 volt probing test light (see picture below) and probe the connector to #4 cylinder, the light should blink rapidly when the engine is running, this indicates the injector is operating and delivering fuel. I also suggest you have the dealer run an electronic cylinder balance test, it takes a special tool but well worth the money.

2004 Trailblazer 6 cyl. idles too low and sometimes will kill but runs great. A scan code of P0606 comes up which relates to the pcm but this has been going on for over a year and it helps idle better...

The low idle could be caused by a dirty throttle body (TB). Take the TB off the intake and clean it thoroughly front and back sides. While doing the cleaning, disconnect the battery to reset the PCM. This will allow it to relearn to the cleaned TB.
As far as the P0606 code, it is possible that the PCM only needs to be reflashed (memory reloaded). This can only be done by a GM dealer.

Take it to an independent BMW mechanic as BMW dealers use technician level people who replace parts not mechanic level training
an independent may have a better idea about the problems
and get the fault codes read and ask for their meaning

2000 kia sportage trouble code po171 once in awhile, runs lean when cold,ok warm. i have 2 of these cars, changed over , map, tps ,idle sensors. also changed fuel injectors, filters ,fuel pump, fuel pressure...

I have 2005 Kia Sportage with a check engine light. No other symptoms. I was told by Kia and Local mechanic that it is the fuel injectors. Error Code states that Fuel injectors are running lean. Put Master airflow- no change. Ran engine test with propane to run rich and trim never changed from 15. Car runs great. Kia dealer said that this is because we use Ethel in gas that it effects the alumium fuel rail delivery to the injectors and that it is necessary to change all of them .Kia Dealer wants $1,000.00 deposit to place order 6 fuel injectors from Kia. (Has anyone heard of that?)Also put fuel injector cleaner in tank.Does anyone have any suggestions before I spend over $1,000.00 to replace all 6 injectors or possible idea of what could be wrong?
